This might be the tastiest meal I've had in a while. Michebongbong has been all over the Pangyo food scene since the early days of the Baekhyeon-dong café street, but places with genuinely good pasta are rare — and Andover here is seriously delicious!

Where to park at Andover on the Baekhyeon-dong café street

When visiting restaurants on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, you usually end up parking right in front of the shop or squeezing onto the roadside nearby. But Andover is really close to the Baekhyeon-dong café street public parking lot, so you can just park there cleanly and walk over — no parking stress at all!

Since I made a reservation, they marked my table this cutely — a cork stuck into a wine bottle ;)

What the Andover dining room looks like

Overall it's a black-brown-white interior, and instead of being too bright, the brightness is well balanced to create a calm, settled mood — it feels different from other brunch cafés. That makes sense, since they seem really serious about the food. (The food is really good... especially the pasta, haha.)

The flowers on every table are totally my style too!

The three dishes ordered at Andover and their prices

You scan the QR code on the table to see the menu and order. Michebongbong ordered the brunch meatball cream for ₩24,000, the ragu short pasta for ₩24,000, the Andover anchovy pasta for ₩21,000, plus coffee and cola!

Most brunch cafés don't sell cola because the margins are too low (last week I went to one brunch café and they told me to order a cherry coke instead — it was so~~~~ sweet my tongue nearly went numb), so it's really nice that Andover has regular cola. My partner has a picky-kid palate and absolutely needs cola with every meal ㅡ.ㅡ

Ragu short pasta, 24,000 won: sauce tucked into every penne

Michebongbong loves ragu, so when the short pasta arrived with cheese melting all over the top, it looked seriously delicious.

I was curious what shape the short pasta would be, and it turned out to be penne, so the ragu sauce got packed right into every piece — really good.

Andover anchovy pasta, 21,000 won: the savory depth that stole the meal

I was most curious about the anchovy pasta, so I took the first bite... oh my, the umami is insane. It's so~~~~ good?!?! It would've been even better with a glass of white wine, honestly — that little regret stuck with me until I'd scraped up the very last strand. I think this might be the tastiest pasta I've had recently.

For good pasta in Pangyo, this is going to be my go-to spot from now on — Andover!

Restaurant and deli in one: what you can buy at Andover

I thought this was just a great pasta spot in Pangyo, but it turns out it's also a proper deli. They sell homemade jambon, tomato sauce meatballs, and various other ingredients, plus plenty of cheese and chips that go great with wine!

Honestly, store-bought pasta sauce at home always tastes too factory-made, but making your own tomato sauce means dumping in a ton of tomatoes plus all those spices and the cooking time... ugh. Grabbing a jar of Andover's tomato sauce seems like an easy way to make good pasta at home.

Andover MD items like mugs and eco bags

They also have various MD items like mugs and eco bags, which almost held me back on my way out after the meal haha. Totally tempting, but I had somewhere to be today so I skipped buying anything.

If you're looking for good pasta in Pangyo, made by people who are truly serious about food, go to Andover. (I already want to eat pasta again!)
