Photo of an engaged couple taken at Your Photo self-photo studio in Bundang

We finally have our wedding photoshoot coming up next month. (So excited 💛) But looking back, we barely had any photos of the two of us together. My fiancé freezes up the second a camera's pointed at him, so I figured we needed a rehearsal — a chance to practice natural expressions — so we went to Your Photo, an unmanned self-photo studio and fun Seongnam activity!

A shot taken inside the private, unmanned self-photo studio room

This was our first time trying a fully independent, 100% unmanned self-photo studio — not one of those instant photo booths like Life Four Cuts — so I was pretty nervous going in. The result was seriously satisfying! Let me walk you through it~😉

Entrance of Your Photo in the basement of Bundang Posville

How do you get into Your Photo, an unmanned self-photo studio in Bundang?

Your Photo is a completely unmanned shop in the basement of Bundang Posville on Seongnam-daero, so you open the door yourself using the control link sent in the reservation message. When we arrived, all the lights were off and the door was locked, which threw me for a second. 'Wait, did I book this wrong?' I panicked a little, but then I remembered the guide message the owner had sent when we made the reservation!

We opened the control link they'd shared, unlocked the door smoothly, and got inside without a hitch. Since it's a completely unmanned system with no staff on site, there was no one watching us and nothing to feel self-conscious about — the moment the door opened, I felt totally at ease.

Setting up the camera at Your Photo: can anyone do it?

At Your Photo the camera is already set up, so shooting is ready to go as soon as you flip the power switch on. Since it's unmanned, I'd secretly worried the initial camera setup would be complicated. But no need to worry about that at all!!

Self-shooting usage manual posted inside the studio

There's a detailed usage manual posted inside the studio, so anyone can follow along step by step with no trouble.

A fully set-up shooting camera with instructions nearby

The camera was already perfectly set up, so we didn't need to touch a thing. Just flip the power switch as instructed and you're ready! Even the most tech-challenged people can totally do this, so don't worry~😄

What props does Your Photo have, and what should you bring?

Inside the Your Photo studio there are fake flower bouquets, sunglasses, headbands, balloons, and even kids' character costumes, so there's nothing you need to bring yourself. Looking around, there was a wide variety of props ready to make the shoot more fun.

Various props laid out for the shoot

From pretty fake bouquets to tasteful sunglasses, cute headbands, and various balloons, there was plenty to add a nice accent to the photos.

With so many different props available, you can just show up empty-handed!

Prop corner with children's character costumes hanging up

There were also adorable character costumes kids would love, so I thought this would be a great spot for family visits too.

Prep area next to the entrance with a hair dryer and straightener

On one side of the entrance there's a hair dryer and a straightener so you can check your look before shooting — really convenient.

Using the position-check monitor and wired remote at Your Photo

Shooting at Your Photo is done by watching a position-check monitor while using a wired remote. The monitor was seriously useful during the shoot! We could see in real time roughly how the composition and our poses were coming out on camera, which made it much easier to sync up our poses with each other.

The wired remote used for self-shooting

Shooting is done with a wired remote! There's a small tip for using it: it doesn't snap the photo the instant you press the button — there's a delay of over 5 seconds. Thanks to that, after pressing the button, we could quietly set the remote down somewhere out of frame and strike a natural pose. That said, the button felt a bit slow to respond, so you need to press firmly and watch for the timing of the camera's light to avoid mistakes!

After the 55-minute shoot: self-printing and getting the original files

At Your Photo, after the 55-minute shoot, you print 4 photos yourself (for 2–4 people) and receive all the original files. In such a private, comfortable space, laughing and chatting freely just the two of us, we completely relaxed and lost track of time. Here's my fiancé carefully checking the manual after our fun 55-minute shoot, getting ready to transfer the original files and print. Well done, fiancé 👏🏻

The groom-to-be checking the printing manual

For 2–4 people: you can print 4 photos, so we carefully picked our four favorites.

Following the manual, we successfully finished self-printing! Unlike what I'd worried, the quality came out sharp and clean — I was genuinely surprised.

The best part was getting all the original files as-is! We got to keep our favorite best shots in high resolution, so it felt like getting both value and satisfaction.

Best shots of the engaged couple received as original files

It has a different charm from a quick booth shoot like Life Four Cuts — we got to fully capture memories that are truly ours, and it was such a happy time.💝

If you're ahead of a wedding shoot and want to practice expressions, or you're just looking for a fresh date-course memory, I really recommend Your Photo self-photo studio, a fun Bundang activity!
