Geobukseom grilled clams after hotel checkout: Bada Super, Siheung
In short
Bada Super Haemul Cheonha Jogaegui, Geobukseom Oido Branch is a sea-view grilled clam restaurant on the third floor of a building in Geobukseom, Siheung, Gyeonggi. A 3-minute walk from the Geobukseom hotel, it made an easy checkout-day lunch: the small grilled clam platter for two at 54,000 won and seafood ramyeon at 7,000 won, with the owner explaining how to grill cheongyang chili topped with cheese. Between the sea view, the range of shellfish and the clear seafood ramyeon broth, Bada Super was a satisfying last meal of the staycation.

After a rare staycation in Geobukseom, Siheung, we rested at the hotel over the weekend, but when it was time to check out the next day, going straight home felt like a waste. So I figured we'd check out, grab lunch nearby, and head home — and it turned out there was a grilled clam restaurant right next to the hotel we stayed at! (I love seafood, haha.) It's right in front of the sea, so the view was great and the reviews looked good too, so I thought, this is the one! Being able to eat grilled clams while looking at the sea made it a pretty satisfying last meal of this staycation. Here's my review of 'Bada Super Haemul Cheonha Jogaegui, Geobukseom Oido Branch,' a grilled clam spot I visited in Geobukseom, Siheung!

How to get there: 3 minutes on foot from the Geobukseom hotel, plus parking
Bada Super Haemul Cheonha Jogaegui, Geobukseom Oido Branch is in the building right next to Wave M Hotel East in Geobukseom, so it's about a 3-minute walk from the hotel. I visited while staying in Geobukseom. It was located on the 2nd floor of the building right next to Wave M Hotel East where I stayed, so it was really close, and convenient to head straight over after checking out and grabbing my luggage. For anyone staying in Geobukseom, it's a great place to eat nearby without having to travel far, so the flow works well. If you're looking for good restaurants in Siheung Jeongwang-dong near the sea, this location is worth checking out too.

Parking is available on B1 and B2, and it's free when you dine at the restaurant. However, note that it can fill up on weekends or in the evening, in which case you can use the Ibiza parking tower across the street!
I visited at lunchtime and was seated without a wait, but they do have Catch Table available too.

🏡 Third-floor sea view: terrace windows, interior and atmosphere

Walking in, I was surprised at how much bigger the place was than I expected. The tables were spaced out generously, so it didn't feel cramped, and the gaps between tables were wide enough that we could eat comfortably without worrying about the next table. It's a good size for group visits too, so it seemed like a nice spot for family gatherings or meals with several people.
What I liked most was that one side is basically a floor-to-ceiling terrace window, so you can eat while looking out at the sea! (It was a bit cloudy that day, unfortunately.) Grilled clams already taste better near the coast, but adding the sea view really elevated the mood. The owner and staff were also really kind, which made the meal even more pleasant.
There's also a self-service corner, so you can grab extra side dishes, small plates, gloves, and so on yourself.
If you order steamed clams, you just follow the instructions posted there. (It seemed like most people were ordering steamed clams. But I ordered grilled clams, and the owner explained how to eat them, haha.)

There are baby chairs and bibs on one side of the restaurant, and the restrooms are outside in the building — separated for men and women!
📋 Bada Super menu and prices, with free cheese tteokbokki

Grilled clams small (for 2): ₩54,000 / Seafood ramyeon: ₩7,000 / Bokbunja: ₩15,000
When you order grilled clams, cheese tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes) comes free with it. I thought the portion would be small since it's just a complimentary side, but it was actually a decent amount, and I was surprised at how much cheese was piled on. It was great to be able to eat the tteokbokki while waiting for the clams to grill.

What comes on the three-tier tray with the small clam platter for two
Grilled clams small (for 2) for 54,000 won — here comes the restaurant's signature 3-tier grilled clam tray! Even in the small size, it was loaded with a variety of seafood: scallops, razor clams, stuffed octopus (nakji horong), abalone, shrimp, hard clams, and more. As the staff brought the clams out, they mentioned that if any weren't properly desanded, were empty inside, or didn't open while grilling, they'd swap them out! (Such a thoughtful touch... nice.)

It wasn't just one or two types of seafood — there was a good variety to try a bit of everything. Overall there was barely any fishy taste, and the seafood was tender, so it was really good.

Of everything, my personal favorites were the abalone and scallops! The flesh was soft and savory, so I kept reaching for more. The owner also showed us the best way to grill and eat the clams.
The owner's grilling tips: cheese on cheongyang chili
For grilling: when a clam opens its mouth, keep the side it's attached to facing down, remove the top shell, and cook it through!
The tastiest way to eat them is to put one of the provided cheongyang chilies on top, then add cheese, and let it melt while cooking. Trying it myself, the savoriness of the cheese combined with the slight spice of the cheongyang chili worked really well together. Adding cheese and chili instead of eating the clams plain made for something different and delicious.

They told us to slowly cook the frozen nakji horong (stuffed octopus) for 10 minutes, and out of the two pieces, I cooked one in a red sauce loaded with onions — I'd recommend that method too. The octopus was tender and delicious. Grilling it fresh and hot while looking out at the sea added to the atmosphere, and it felt like a proper grilled clam experience!
Seafood ramyeon at 7,000 won: how was it to finish?
Seafood ramyeon is 7,000 won, and it made the perfect finish after the grilled clams. Seafood ramyeon can disappoint if the broth is too salty or the seafood smell too strong, but here the seasoning was just right. There was also a good amount of seafood in it, so the broth had a rich seafood flavor, and the noodles came out with the springy texture I like. The broth was especially refreshing — genuinely amazing! Even though I was already fairly full from the grilled clams, the broth was so good I kept spooning it up. Finishing off with seafood ramyeon after the grilled clams was a clean, satisfying way to end the meal.
