Siheung charcoal grill house half-and-half platter: Daehwa Sutbul
In short
Daehwa Sutbul Garden Siheung Janggok Branch is a charcoal-grill Korean BBQ restaurant in Janggok-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi. On a Sunday afternoon visit with her husband and child, the writer ordered one half-and-half meat platter plus baby rice (soy sauce egg rice), and the set came with sausage, chicken gizzard meat, chicken skirt meat, kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and ice cream. The most memorable part was toasting the tortillas served as a basic side dish on the grill and using them to wrap the meat.

Sunday afternoon, my husband, our kid, and I went out for meat for the first time in a while. I figured it might be busy for a weekend lunch, and sure enough Daehwa Sutbul Garden Siheung Janggok Branch had quite a few customers!
We ordered the half-and-half meat platter and baby rice that day. Visiting with a kid, I found there was more than just meat — there was a menu our child could eat, too — and ordering the set menu meant we got to enjoy all kinds of extra dishes. A solid find in Siheung's Janggok-dong for a weekend family meal.
Where is Daehwa Sutbul Garden Siheung Janggok Branch, and is there parking?
Daehwa Sutbul Garden Siheung Janggok Branch is a charcoal BBQ restaurant located at 경기도 시흥시 장현장곡로 10, 1616동 B111~B113호. Hours are Mon–Fri 15:00–23:00, Sat–Sun 12:00–23:00, with last order at 22:00.
Parking is available in the building's commercial lot, and there was plenty of space, which made driving over easy. Daehwa Sutbul Garden Siheung Janggok Branch is a spot in Janggok-dong where you can grill meat over charcoal.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and there were quite a lot of customers already eating.

Since it was the weekend, lots of tables were families, and the whole place had a lively feel.

Driving with a kid always makes parking a concern, but the lot was nice and open that day, so I could park with no stress. Not having to wait or struggle over parking made it easy to justify a family outing here.
What comes with one half-and-half platter at Daehwa Sutbul Garden

What we ordered that day was the half-and-half meat platter. It seemed like a good pick for the two of us, since being able to try two different meats felt better than sticking to just one.

Once the charcoal came out and we started grilling, well — meat really does taste best over charcoal, haha.
Watching the meat turn golden brown over the charcoal really got my appetite going.
The staff cut the meat into bite-size pieces as it grilled, and we ate the well-done pieces right away. Ordering half-and-half meant we could alternate between the two instead of eating just one flavor the whole time, and it seemed like a good choice for couples like us and my husband whose meat preferences differ slightly.
I also liked that ordering the set menu came with a whole range of service dishes. With the set, you get sausage, chicken gizzard meat, chicken skirt meat, kalguksu, and ice cream all included.
- Sausage
- Chicken gizzard meat
- Chicken skirt meat
- Kalguksu (noodle soup)
- Ice cream
It wasn't just meat and done — there were dishes to eat alongside, a meal course, and dessert too, so the lineup felt surprisingly complete.

Alongside the meat, we also tried the sausage and the chicken specialty cuts.

After eating a good amount of meat, we wrapped things up with the kalguksu.

And finally, the ice cream our kid had been waiting for! When you go to a BBQ place with a child, the adults are usually having a great time but the kid can get bored — so being able to end the meal with ice cream made our kid genuinely happy!
Being able to enjoy several kinds of meat with the half-and-half platter, plus all those extra dishes from the set, made this meal feel especially generous. If you're going with family or a group, this kind of set menu setup seems like a pretty good deal.
How to eat the tortillas served as a basic side dish
There was one more menu item that day that turned out to be more memorable than expected at Daehwa Sutbul Garden.

It was the tortillas that come out as a basic side dish. At first it seemed a little unexpected for a BBQ place to serve tortillas, but after trying them, I got it, haha.

Instead of eating them plain, we grilled the tortillas briefly on the grill to warm them up, then wrapped meat in them.

Putting meat and the side dishes on the lightly grilled tortilla and rolling it up — wait, it had this taco-like feel and was actually really good. I'm used to wrapping meat in lettuce or perilla leaves at BBQ places, but wrapping it in a tortilla felt completely different.
The key was grilling the tortilla lightly over the fire first! Wrapping charcoal-smoked meat in a warm, slightly grilled tortilla was a combination that worked better than I expected. The meat itself was already good, but wrapping it in tortilla made me want to try different combinations over and over.
If you visit Daehwa Sutbul Garden, make sure to grill the tortilla lightly over the fire before eating it with the meat. Personally, this was one of the most memorable things I ate that day 😋
Baby rice (soy sauce egg rice) for dining with a child
When you go to a BBQ place with a kid, the adults can eat meat but the child usually needs something separate. So we also ordered the baby rice.

Daehwa Sutbul Garden's baby rice comes as soy egg rice, which made for an easy dish for our kid to eat. If your child eats meat well, sharing is fine too, but if you're visiting with a kid who can't handle much of the adult meat yet, ordering the baby rice makes things a lot easier.
Our kid ate the soy egg rice happily, which let us eat at a more relaxed pace too. Having a baby rice option on the menu was definitely convenient when visiting with a child.
Finishing the meal with ice cream
And the part our kid liked best was, of course, the very end of the meal!

Ordering the set menu also gets you ice cream at the end, so after eating the meat, finishing with ice cream made our kid genuinely happy. Kids really are more serious about dessert than the meal itself 😂
After the meat and the soy egg rice, wrapping up with ice cream made for a pretty enjoyable outing from our kid's point of view. Eating out with a kid sometimes means they get bored mid-meal and want to leave early, but having ice cream at the end kept the mood good all the way through.
A Sunday family meal for three in Janggok-dong, Siheung: the verdict
This time we visited as three — husband, kid, and me — and overall it was a comfortable spot for a family meal. What we ordered was the half-and-half meat platter plus baby rice.
The adults got to grill meat over charcoal while our kid had soy egg rice, so the menu lineup worked well. Best of all, the set menu included sausage, chicken gizzard meat, chicken skirt meat, kalguksu, and ice cream, so we got to enjoy a lot more than just meat.
And that day we had the fun of eating meat wrapped in tortillas, a bit different from the usual BBQ place. Grilling the tortilla lightly on the grill and eating it with the meat gave it a taco-like, different feel, good for trying all kinds of combinations. After the meal, our kid got to finish with the ice cream they love, and that made them happy too.
Seeing how busy it was even on a Sunday afternoon, it seems like a lot of people come here for weekend family meals. If you're looking for a place to eat meat with your kid on the weekend in Siheung's Janggok-dong, or a Janggok-dong spot for a family meal, Daehwa Sutbul Garden Siheung Janggok Branch is worth a visit. Next time we go, wrapping meat in tortillas is definitely something we'll do again 😊
