Stroller-friendly Seongnam brunch café and orange juice: Meolmeol
In short
Meolmeol Pangyo is a European-style brunch café with a blue awning on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. The wide central aisle let us wheel a stroller straight to an inside table, and Meolmeol Pangyo also keeps baby chairs, which made eating out with a baby easy. The endive salad, Grandma's lasagna, truffle baby potato fries and fresh-squeezed orange juice were all a hit, so this is a place we wanted to visit once more before moving away.

Before leaving Seongnam! Wishlist item: conquer the Baekhyeon-dong café street!!! So I've been going to Baekhyeon-dong whenever I get the chance, and this latest spot was such a total win that I have to share it.

Meolmeol Pangyo on Baekhyeon-dong café street: the blue-awning facade
Even on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, Meolmeol Pangyo stands out with its cool, refreshing blue awning! Bright and cheerful like a proper brunch spot, with a European feel~

I fell for the vibe the moment I walked in... Since having a baby, getting around isn't as free as it used to be, so I decided that whenever we do go out, it should be somewhere gorgeous! I've memorized every pretty, well-reviewed spot on the Baekhyeon-dong café street, and I'd finally been dying to come to Meolmeol Pangyo!!!

Can you bring a stroller inside Meolmeol Pangyo?
One thing I loved about Meolmeol Pangyo was that the middle is wide open, so stroller access was totally possible! And the vibe of the place — seriously exactly my taste, no notes. Each seat has different furniture so there's fun in choosing where to sit, and the seats are spaced apart enough to feel fairly private!

Something about the blue + orange + lemon combo gave off a Positano, Italy feel~ Even the water arrives refreshingly. The whole atmosphere of the place is genuinely the real deal, so just being in the space felt healing for a mom. Whew... I love places like this. You have no idea how much I love a good brunch café...

Baby chairs at Meolmeol Pangyo
Something great about Meolmeol Pangyo: baby chairs on hand! For someone like me who can only go to baby-friendly places, this is such a relief... 🤍

Outdoor and terrace seats: ask staff first
Once it gets a bit cooler, the outdoor seating would be lovely! The view was so nice and green! But terrace seats are only available if you ask first!

Because of our baby's stroller, we sat in the back, worried about being in anyone's way! The table across from us looked so pretty, so I snapped a photo. This place... honestly, I'd want to come back just for the atmosphere. But! This isn't just a pretty place ...... it's an actual brunch destination, just you wait

The four dishes we ordered at Meolmeol Pangyo
I'll blur out my personal info here (lol). Oh my... even the receipt here is cute, what even is this. It came with an adorable little illustration!
What we ordered: their newly popular endive salad, the signature Grandma's lasagna, the truffle baby potato fries that everyone seems to order as a side, and fresh-squeezed orange juice! After digging through a bunch of other people's blogs, I saw everyone ordering the same things, so since it was our first visit, we just went with it! There's usually a reason things are popular. Ordered all 4 dishes, feeling good, hehe

Hehe, this was our baby's very first fall outfit debut. From the moment my husband and I decided to come to Meolmeol Pangyo, I had this outfit planned just for this date day...! Heh... isn't it perfect

A full spread shot! I'm honestly not great at taking group food shots so I don't usually bother, but I wanted to remember Meolmeol Pangyo before we move, so here it is...>_< Every single one of these dishes was genuinely delicious, so keep your eyes peeled and follow along!

Fresh-squeezed orange juice
First to arrive was the fresh-squeezed orange juice. No syrup added, just pure squeezed orange, so the tartness came through stronger...!!! I hate forced sweetness so this was totally my style

Endive salad
Next up, the endive salad. I've never seen a salad look like this. Raspberry Greek yogurt on the bottom, topped with raspberries, peaches, endive, and jamón — not sour at all, just pleasantly refreshing, the perfect appetizer to wake up your appetite!

The peach + jamón + endive combo was something I'd never tasted anywhere else — the crunchy bite, the peach's sweetness against the jamón's saltiness, sweet and salty all at once!!! And the yogurt bridged the gap perfectly, tying it all together >_< Food this pretty the whole time you're eating it — you can't help but love it...

Truffle baby potato fries
The can't-lose combo: truffle + baby potatoes + fried. Honestly, the name says it all. I'm the type who always eats baby potatoes at rest stops, while my roommate is the type who says "baby potatoes? if you fill up on those you won't be able to eat on the trip" and avoids them~^^ (Why can't you eat once you get there? You can eat baby potatoes AND the meal;;;) Anyway, these baby potatoes were fried crispy on the outside and coated in truffle cream sauce...?! This has to be called a guaranteed winning combo

Can you see how properly fried these are? Crispy fried shell, fluffy baby potato inside...!!! The sauce keeps it from being bland, and the truffle aroma and flavor make you devour the potatoes instantly. This isn't a recommended side dish for no reason! There's a reason people order it so much... total love...! I'd definitely order it again next time

Grandma's lasagna
And finally, our main dish, Grandma's lasagna! A cozy flavor and look, like something a grandmother made. Nice touch that they give you bread too, since eating lasagna alone would feel like something's missing

So much cheese and sauce, I can't resist... I already love lasagna a lot, and this one is the real deal of real deals, so I love it even more... grandma's cooking touch (?) really can't be beat

The sauce wasn't adjusted for the Korean palate — it was a clean, deep ragu flavor, which I loved. Apparently they simmer it for over 2 hours to get that mellow, deep taste! Even better dipped with the bread. I was shocked the first time I had their onion soup too! Fully recommend the lasagna. This place is just good... everything here is delicious. All four dishes today were a success, so proud

The front of the shop was so pretty, so I took a photo with my roommate and son... I guess since that outfit was so cute, I ended up taking a ton of photos^^
