Wirye pizza restaurant, twin toddlers and ranch refills: Jackson Pizza

I went to Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch, a great pizza spot in Wirye, with my 4-year-old twins.

Actually, the first time I tried Jackson Pizza was when we rented out a kids' café with the twins' friends. All the moms kept saying "Jackson Pizza is delicious!" and suggested we order from there.

We ordered pizza, fries, and even chicken tenders and ate together, but honestly I was so busy watching the kids that day I barely remember what anything tasted like. Haha.

Still, I remembered the toppings being really generous, so I told my husband — who loves Domino's — "Next time let's go try an actual Jackson Pizza store!" And we finally made it. :)

Where is Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch, and what is the restaurant like?

Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch is in Wirye Central Plaza, so it was easy to find. I've never been to America, but it definitely had that vibe, haha.

From the giant JACKSON BLVD sign to the neon lights to the English pizza posters on the walls! I've never been to the US, but somehow it felt like an American pizza place, haha. The red chairs caught my eye too — right up my daughter's alley since she loves red. 🤣

We visited around 6:40pm on a Friday, and suddenly a wave of customers came in and the place filled up fast. There were quite a lot of families with kids too.

Baby chairs and baby tableware were ready too, which made it convenient to visit with a child.

Ordering by table QR code at Jackson Pizza: surprisingly easy

To order at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch, you scan the QR code attached to the table with your phone. At first I thought "how does this work?" and felt a bit awkward, but once I tried it, it was so convenient.

These days a lot of places have touch-screen ordering machines at every table, and I always worry my twins will press something by mistake. Ordering from my phone meant I didn't have to worry about that, and it was easy to add more when we needed to, haha.

Pepperoni and Super Jackson half-and-half pizza

We ordered a large half-and-half with pepperoni + Super Jackson. Half-and-half at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch is only available from the large size up.

Looking at the menu, my twins suddenly shouted "Pepperoni! Pepperoni!!" They have an uncanny knack for spotting any pizza with no vegetables and lots of ham.

On top of that, we finished off the order with French fries, tomato cheese spaghetti, Sprite, and draft beer!

Looking at other tables, some people ordered just one large pizza, while others got several smaller sizes to try different flavors. Next time we should try a variety too.

From the French fries to the pizza, dish by dish

The first thing to arrive was the French fries.

Freshly fried fries — need I say more? Haha. Crispy, not too salty, and great to share with the kids. My husband took a sip of draft beer and said, "This draft beer is so good. It just goes down smooth!" Hahaha.

And then, finally, the pizza arrived!

Just like I remembered, the toppings were really generous. The moment the twins spotted the ham on top, they started picking it off with their fingers one by one... We've never even served ham as a side dish at home, so why do they love it so much, haha.

My husband took a bite too and said, "This is good! Try it quick!" He kept telling me to try it. With such generous toppings, even one slice was pretty filling, and it was delicious for me too.

Why the house-made ranch sauce is worth trying

What I was curious about was the house-made ranch sauce at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch.

According to the store's info, the ranch sauce is made by blending and aging several ingredients. I love dipping sauces, so I dipped the crust end deep into the ranch sauce... it's hard to describe exactly what it tastes like, but it's good! Haha.

If you go for pizza, definitely try dipping it once. I liked it so much I ended up getting a refill. 🤣 Ranch sauce and pickles each come with one free refill.

Tomato cheese spaghetti: the easiest dish for the twins

The tomato cheese spaghetti had plenty of cheese and sauce, and the noodles were cooked just right — really tasty.

By the time the kids each had a slice of pizza plus fries and pasta, and mom and dad each had three slices of pizza plus pasta and fries, we were seriously full.

I wanted to get a nice photo of the whole spread... but two 4-year-olds don't wait around once the food arrives, haha. In the end, I just took a photo of the table with all its little nibbled traces. 🤣

Candy at the door keeps the kids happy on the way out

Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch also has candy displayed on one side of the store.

I told them, "If you sit nicely and eat all your pizza, you can have candy after!" and for once, the twins actually sat still and ate well, haha. After finishing their meal, they each grabbed a piece as promised, and while they enjoyed their candy, I finally got to eat my last bite in peace. 🤣 Isn't this the true dessert time for moms, haha.

During our visit, I noticed that takeout at Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch is 10% off, and the store was also running several in-store events.

How Jackson Pizza Wirye works as a family dinner with 4-year-olds

I first tried Jackson Pizza by chance at a kids' café, on the moms' recommendation. This time, going as a family to try a great pizza spot in Wirye ourselves, I understood why all the moms said it was delicious. :)

My pepperoni-loving twins ate well, my husband said it was delicious the moment he took his first bite, and I especially loved the ranch sauce. With so many pizza types and sizes to choose from, we're already planning to go back next time we're craving pizza!
