Anmin Jinhae

Time for my review of Anmin, a Jinhae restaurant! If you're looking for Jinhae spots, I went to Anmin, known as a Seok-dong hotspot in Jinhae. We ordered the whole pork half-set and it was genuinely satisfying. Highly recommend it to anyone hunting for a good Korean BBQ restaurant in Jinhae.

Where Anmin Jinhae is, opening hours and parking
Open daily 17:00–23:00, last order at 21:30. They said it can close early if ingredients run out.
It's on the 2nd floor, right at the entrance of Seok-dong food alley, across from Kkuseokji, above the Chicago building.
There's public parking nearby you can use.
Anmin Jinhae menu: why we ordered the whole pork half-set
For meat, there's a whole pork full-set and half-set, plus pork belly, neck, a special cuts platter, and skin-jowl available a la carte. There's also a vegetable platter that pairs well with the meat. For meal dishes there's hwang doenjang stew, hangari sundubu stew, Masitte soyu ramen, Masitte cold ramen, Masitte golbimmyeon, white fried rice, tin-pot rice for two, rice, and steamed egg/crispy rice porridge.
We ordered the whole pork half-set without a second thought.
Inside Anmin Jinhae and seating for groups

Inside is a wood-toned space with red accents. There's no floor seating — just bar tables and booth seats, and each table has its own grill set up. On one side there's a bar counter with a wine and liquor display, lined with red velvet chairs, which gave it a sleek izakaya vibe too. The place is spacious with group seating, so it seems great for group gatherings or team dinners.

Side dishes and the three dipping sauces
We were seated at our reserved table, which already had the basic spread set up. There was spicy-dressed geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi), various pickled vegetables, ssamjang sauce, and a savory breadcrumb-based sauce, all in a nice variety. With so many sauces laid out, we could dip according to taste. A basket of ssam (wrap) vegetables like lettuce and perilla leaves came with minced garlic, cheongyang chili, and ssamjang too.

While we waited, our whole pork half-set arrived.

Staff grill the pork for you at the table
The meat was grilled by the staff themselves. Since they grill it for you, this seems like a great spot for a work dinner or group meetup.

First up: pork neck with salt
They recommended salt for the first bite, and dipped in salt, the pork neck was incredibly savory and tender. It was juicy and moist all the way through. The outside was grilled a nice golden brown while the inside stayed a slight pink, medium doneness, so the juices were fully intact. Every bite released juice with a clean flavor and no gamey smell at all. Salt alone really brought out the meat's natural flavor.

There was also scallion shreds and a special soy sauce to dip in — topping a piece of meat with scallions added a fragrant note that cut through any richness, making it go down clean.
A side warming plate keeps the meat hot to the end
Once the meat was cooked through, the staff moved it to a side grill. The main burner kept grilling new meat while the already-cooked pieces stayed warm on the side grill. Thanks to that, the meat grilled earlier never had a chance to cool down, so we could eat warm all the way to the last piece.

Pork belly with breadcrumb cream sauce
The pork belly tasted even better dipped in breadcrumbs. The outside grilled up crispy while the inside stayed moist, and adding the savory breadcrumbs doubled the texture. Being cream-sauce based, it brought a rich, savory flavor while still keeping the crunch of the breadcrumbs — the combination of textures was really good. There was no heaviness, just continuous savoriness, so I kept reaching for more.

Pork skin with curry bean powder sauce
The pork skin dipped in curry bean powder sauce was genuinely delicious too. It had a chewy, bouncy texture that kept coming through with every bite, and the salty sauce paired well with the skin's distinct savoriness — I couldn't stop reaching for it.

Finishing with Masitte cold ramen
For the meal course, we ordered Masitte cold ramen!

Made with a slow-simmered anchovy broth and a buckwheat soba base, the broth was genuinely tasty. It had savory depth but stayed clean, so it was a refreshing way to finish after all the meat. The noodles were nice and springy, and the bean sprouts added good texture too — really tasty overall.

Is Anmin Jinhae worth it for a group dinner?
For anyone looking for Jinhae restaurants, #Anmin Jinhae, known as a Seok-dong hotspot in Jinhae, was genuinely satisfying. The pork neck let the meat's natural flavor shine with just salt, and the pork belly's texture doubled when dipped in breadcrumbs. The skin was clean and never heavy thanks to the special sauce, and the side grill meant we could eat warm all the way to the last piece. The staff grilling everything made it easy to just relax and enjoy, and it stood out even among Changwon's meat restaurants. It's a perfect spot for a Jinhae group dinner or meetup too. Finishing cleanly with the cold ramen made it a complete meal. I'm saving this as one of my go-to Changwon spots and will probably visit again! If you're looking for a Jinhae restaurant, I recommend "Anmin Jinhae."
