Misa comic café 1-hour pass and Detective Conan: Real Toon, Hanam

Looking for something to do in Misa on my day off, I heard about a place where you can read comics and play games in the same space, so I checked it out. Getting to read comic books and play Nintendo in one place sounded great, and honestly there turned out to be more to do than I expected, so time flew by.

At first I figured I'd just settle in like any Misa comic café and relax with some comics, but by the end I was playing Nintendo Animal Crossing. Here's my record of a day that started with comic books and ended with gaming.

Where Real Toon Comic Café is in Misa, and how parking works

Real Toon Comic Café is at 9F, Room 905, 45 Misagangbyeon-jungang-ro 204beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Just head inside the building and take the elevator up.

You can use the building's parking lot, and free parking (including the 30-minute grace period) covers up to a generous 5 hours 30 minutes, so it's easy to plan around. Whether you come by public transit or drive, either works fine for a Misa outing.

How the 1-hour pass and free drink work at Real Toon

At Real Toon Comic Café, you enter, choose how long you want to stay, and get a drink included in that. When I visited, I started with the 1-hour-plus-drink option and added extra time later. (Payment is after you finish.)

Basic drinks included Americano, peach iced tea, soda, and water, and I picked café latte and chamomile tea — both of which cost extra on top of the base drink price. (See the menu board below.)

The food options were varied too. Beyond drinks, there were snack and meal items to eat, plus chips and ice cream perfect for snacking while gaming or reading — good variety to suit whatever mood you're in.

Inside Real Toon: bookshelves, loft and private rooms

Walking inside, the comic books were packed neatly onto shelves, and it immediately felt like a proper Misa comic café. The shelves were split into several sections, neatly organized by genre so you can browse easily.

Seating was varied too, from quiet solo reading spots to comfortable seats for lounging around. You pick a book, settle into whichever seat suits you, and sip your drink while relaxing at your own pace. There's also a book search function, so if you're after a specific title, it's easy to track down.

There was also a gaming area set up on one side. I thought this was purely a comic book place, but seeing Nintendo games available too, I got why people looking for things to do in Misa come here. From lofts to big rooms and small rooms, there's a range of setups — solo cozy spots to group rooms — to enjoy however many people you've got.

Reading Detective Conan at Real Toon Comic Café

First, I picked out a comic book. I've always liked Conan, so that day I read Detective Conan.

Sitting comfortably with a drink beside me while reading, time seemed to drift by leisurely. Usage rules are posted in every room, so it's worth keeping those in mind and being courteous.

Playing Nintendo Animal Crossing at the comic café

I decided to try Nintendo Animal Crossing too. I'd only planned to read comics at this Misa comic café, but once gaming got added into the mix, the whole vibe changed. It had been a while since I played Animal Crossing, and browsing around and decorating was so much fun — a totally different feeling from reading.

I thought one hour might feel short, but between reading Conan and playing Animal Crossing, time flew by fast. If you want to do multiple things in one spot for a Misa outing, this kind of setup is a solid option.

Is Real Toon Comic Café in Hanam worth a visit?

This trip to Real Toon Comic Café started off feeling like a spot purely for reading comics, but ended up being a place where I got to try Nintendo too. If you're looking for a Misa comic café, it's a great spot to relax reading books or pair that with gaming.

Naturally sliding from reading comics like Conan into Animal Crossing, like I did, is totally doable here, making it worth remembering when you want something different for a Misa outing. Since drinks are included, it's also comfortable to just relax like you would at a regular café.
