Yeongjong dog-friendly restaurant: ₩57,000 set for two, Haesanggung
In short
Haesanggung is a dog-friendly restaurant on Masiran-ro in Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, specialising in stir-fried octopus and seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup). The writer has come back every time she visits Yeongjong for five years, and this time shared the Haesanggung Set for Two (57,000 won) — stir-fried octopus, seafood kalguksu, a whole-octopus pajeon (scallion pancake) and turmeric rice — with her dog, Uyu. Dogs are welcome both indoors and on the terrace and parking is plentiful, which is why Haesanggung stays on the list for any Yeongjong day trip.

Today's post is another honest review — my nth visit — to Haesanggung, a Yeongjong-do favorite for octopus stir-fry, near Inspire, in Eulwang-ri, known for its seafood kalguksu (noodle soup) and seafood pancake, and dog-friendly to boot.

Why Haesanggung is a five-year habit on every Yeongjong trip
I look for a lot of pet-friendly spots on Yeongjong-do, but Haesanggung is one I love so much that I visit every single time I come here — so I thought I'd write about it. I think I've known this place for about 5 years now, and the flavor hasn't changed a bit in all that time, which makes me love it even more.💛

Haesanggung's spicy octopus stir-fry uses no artificial capsaicin at all — they say it's made with over ten healthy ingredients like chili flakes and garlic, aged in Haesanggung's own recipe, for a savory, deeply spicy dish that doubles as a nourishing meal. Since it can be quite spicy, I'd recommend portioning it out little by little as you mix it in, and dipping the whole octopus pancake into the stir-fry sauce is delicious too — give it a try🙏
Where Haesanggung is and what the parking is like
Haesanggung's address is 411 Masiran-ro, Eulwang-ri 198, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon. You can park in the lot in front of or beside the restaurant — it's spacious and well laid out, so it was easy to come by car. Even new drivers shouldn't have any trouble parking here!
Even the walk from the parking lot to the restaurant carries that open, breezy Yeongjong-do atmosphere, which put me in a good mood before I'd even eaten!

Outdoor tables and a yard made for a dog walk
This is Haesanggung's exterior. Dogs are welcome indoors too, but since Uyu sheds quite a bit, we tend to sit outside if there are other customers inside. There are plenty of varied tables outdoors as well as indoors, and with the awning installed, it's a nice spot to sit with some atmosphere — except in extreme heat or heavy snow, haha.
After finishing our meal, a wide open outdoor space welcomed us, offering an open view and a sense of ease, with pretty flowers and lush greenery blending in nicely around it — great for a light walk to help digest after eating. The space itself is spacious and pleasant, and with all the colorful blooming flowers to look at, it was perfect for a relaxed stroll with Uyu in the breeze — a complete healing course from a delicious meal to a pleasant walk 🐾🌿

Can dogs sit inside Haesanggung?
Here's the inside of Haesanggung. Walking in, you're greeted by a clean, uncluttered, pleasant dining hall — the tables are well spaced and there are plenty of them, making it a good spot for dates as well as group outings with friends or family.
What I especially loved is that Haesanggung allows dogs to dine indoors, so no matter how hot or cold the weather gets these days, you can enjoy your meal comfortably regardless!! I take Uyu around to a lot of places, and since Haesanggung allows dogs both outdoors and indoors, I find myself coming back here even more often👍✨ For proper pet etiquette, please bring a carrier or crate if you're visiting with your dog.
Haesanggung menu prices and the receipt review event
Here's Haesanggung's menu board. They have everything from individual dishes to set menus that let you enjoy a variety of food at a discounted price, so it's worth ordering according to your group size and taste! The octopus stir-fry and pancake are also available for takeout✅
Haesanggung was running a receipt review event at the time — leave a receipt review and get free noodles or a drink, so if you enjoyed your meal, leave a review and grab the freebie😀

Self-serve corner and side dishes at Haesanggung
This is Haesanggung's self-serve corner. Staff bring the first round of side dishes, but refills and water are self-serve, so use the self-serve bar if you need more. (Side dishes, small plates, aprons, and wet wipes were all ready there.)
The moment we sat down, cool water arrived, along with a tidy spread of side dishes to complement the main dishes even more.
First up, a salad drizzled generously with sweet, nutty black sesame dressing gently woke up the palate, and the crunchy seasoned bean sprouts, a perfect match for the spicy octopus stir-fry, added extra enjoyment to each bite.
On top of that, refreshing kimchi that cleanly cuts through the rich seasoning, and a dedicated soy sauce dip to bring out the crispy-outside-soft-inside pancake's flavor — every single side dish here at Haesanggung was carefully prepared🐙
What comes in the Haesanggung Set for Two (57,000 won)
✅Haesanggung Set (₩57,000) — the set for two arrived (octopus stir-fry x1, seafood kalguksu x1, whole octopus pancake x1, turmeric rice x1). At ₩57,000 you get a generous spread packed with octopus, which explains why the set menu seems to be so popular~ Highly recommend it👍

Whole-octopus pajeon (scallion pancake)
True to its name, this is a pancake topped with an entire whole octopus and whole shrimp — an incredible sight. It's the very definition of crispy outside, soft inside, and the texture of the seafood mixed with the aroma of scallions made every bite delicious. The portion was generous enough for three people to share comfortably.
My boyfriend and I said it was such a shame we couldn't have a drink with this one... It was crispy with not a hint of a floury smell, which made it even more delicious.
The pancake is tasty dipped in soy sauce, but it's even better topped with octopus stir-fry, octopus stir-fry sauce, or vegetables — try that combination!!
Stir-fried octopus with turmeric rice
The octopus stir-fry was the first thing to really wake up my appetite. It's not that harsh, overwhelming spicy heat — instead there's a clean yet subtle smoky flavor and umami that kept me from putting my spoon down. Plump, meaty octopus was used generously, giving it a great chew, and along with the octopus there were plenty of vegetables too, making for a varied, enjoyable bite each time, haha. Pile the octopus stir-fry generously on top of the golden turmeric rice that comes alongside it and mix it all together, and it's basically rice-thief material!
Can you see how plump the octopus is? I've been visiting Haesanggung for nearly 5 years now, and every single time, the octopus is plump and tender with absolutely no fishy smell — I'm always amazed all over again~ ✨💛

It's great enjoyed as is, for the natural spice and chewy texture, but pile the octopus stir-fry on the golden turmeric rice, add a generous helping of bean sprouts, and mix it all together, and it's the kind of flavor that washes away a whole day's fatigue! It's spicier than you'd expect too, so it's perfect for blowing off some everyday stress.👍
Seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup)
This is the seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), a fantastic pairing with the spicy octopus stir-fry. The broth is so clean and refreshing that one sip instantly clears your head. The noodles are chewy and springy, and thanks to the deep broth drawn out from clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and other seafood, it's a flavor that anyone — kids to adults — would love without hesitation💛

A day out in Yeongjong with Uyu
After getting some fresh air for the first time in a while, Uyu seemed happy too❤ Our Uyu, who always sits quietly beside us whenever we're enjoying a delicious meal🐶 Thank you for waiting so patiently again today while we ate! 🐾 Thanks to you, I could relax and enjoy the food even more — such a happy day ✨
There wasn't a single thing to complain about, so I'll definitely be back next time I'm on Yeongjong-do~ If you're planning a trip to Yeongjong-do or an outing to Eulwang-ri or Masiran Beach and looking for a dog-friendly restaurant, be sure to visit Haesanggung~ Highly recommend it✨👍💛
