There are so many BBQ restaurants near Sanbon Station. Among them, the one I've visited multiple times and kept liking is Geobugi Dongne Gunpo Sanbon Branch (거북이동네 군포산본점). I first found it while searching for good samgyeopsal near Sanbon, and since the value and the meat itself were both great, I ended up going back!

If you're looking for a place near Sanbon Station for a work dinner, date, or family meal, this is worth considering.
How do you get to Geobugi Dongne from Sanbon Station?
Geobugi Dongne Gunpo Sanbon Branch sits on Sanbon Rodeo Street, close to Sanbon Station. When I actually visited, it wasn't hard to find from the station at all, and it made a really convenient meeting spot.
Once inside, the space felt bigger and more comfortable than I expected, so I didn't mind sitting anywhere. With wide seating and some private spaces too, it looked perfect not just for meals with friends but also for work dinners or family gatherings.
What pork cuts and self-serve bar items does Geobugi Dongne offer?

The menu at Geobugi Dongne Gunpo Sanbon Branch lets you choose from a range of pork cuts — samgyeopsal, mokssal (pork neck), ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly), hangjeongsal (pork jowl), and gabrisal — and there are set menus and a lunch special too!

What I especially liked was the self-serve bar. You can take as much ssam (wrap) vegetables, sauces, and side dishes as you want, and there were potatoes and rice cake skewers too, which were great to grill alongside the meat.

And it's not just about the meat — they also sell lunch menu items, and after the meal you can pour yourself coffee from the coffee machine and even get soft-serve ice cream, which was such a nice touch!

Ogyeopsal with cauldron rice and doenjang jjigae: how it tasted

Back when I used to search around Sanbon for BBQ spots, a lot of the cheaper places had disappointing meat quality or a lackluster spread. But Geobugi Dongne stood out to me because the value, the side dishes, and the meat quality itself were all genuinely good.

I especially tried eating cauldron rice and doenjang jjigae alongside the meat, and this combo is a total Korean cheat code! Having a bite of meat, then cauldron rice with doenjang jjigae, made it feel like a proper full meal — really filling.
I also loved grabbing ssam and sauces from the self-serve bar to suit my taste, and grilling potatoes and rice cakes sizzling in the ogyeopsal fat was a real delicacy. This wasn't a one-time visit — I actually went back — so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for good pork BBQ around Sanbon!

It's not just about the meat — with the self-serve bar, cauldron rice, doenjang jjigae, and dessert all included, I think it works well for dates, family meals, and work dinners alike.

I'd especially recommend it if you're on the hunt for a samgyeopsal restaurant in Sanbon or a spot for a work dinner near Sanbon Station. It's also a place I remember fondly as a date spot with my husband!
