Seongsu burger restaurant for cheese fries and milkshake dip: bd

Today I want to introduce a burger place I go to often in hip, hip Seongsu — a great spot for a date. Let me review the best menu items at bd Burger Seongsu, famous for its great vibe for a Seongsu date!

bd Burger is a very accessible Seongsu hamburger spot, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Seongsu Station. There's no dedicated parking, so I'd recommend coming on foot!

Interior atmosphere and seating

Inside, the ceiling has an open-concrete structure that gives it that distinct Seongsu hamburger-place vibe, and most of the tables seat 2–4 people, but there's one large table that can fit about 6 — good to know if you're coming with a bigger group of friends!

You pick up your order at the counter in front, and at the self-serve bar you can grab plastic gloves, ketchup, cutlery, and water.

What we ordered, and dipping fries the American way

Ordering is done through the kiosk at your table. I love bd Burger's American-style menu, so I got the double cheese burger and grilled shrimp burger, paired with cheese fries and eggplant & mushroom fritters! On top of that, I found out Americans have a habit of dipping their burgers and fries into milkshakes — so I decided to try it myself right away!

Once everything was ready, I picked it up and brought it to the table — the visuals were seriously insane! Living up to Seongsu's reputation for great-atmosphere hamburger spots, my mouth was watering before I'd even taken a bite.

Double cheese burger and grilled shrimp burger

Looking at the double cheese burger and grilled shrimp burger, the patties and shrimp visuals are no joke. Two patties, and that much shrimp packed in — the value is really good. It's an affordable, no-pressure price that's perfect for a Seongsu lunch burger, but the taste hits with a real American-style heftiness too.

Milkshake

bd Burger's milkshake comes poured all the way to the top of a really big cup. It was hot out and I wanted something cold anyway, so — you really have to try this milkshake at least once.

Cheese fries

bd Burger's cheese fries come piled high with rich, melty cheese over the fries. Dipping the salty fries into the cheese gives you a heaviness you can't get from the burger alone.

Eggplant & mushroom fritters

Lastly, the eggplant and mushroom fritters. The batter was really crispy, which I loved, and it made a satisfying crunch with every bite. The sauce came split into two kinds, and when it's served like that I always end up dipping right in the middle to get both at once. It looked great and tasted fresh and bright too!
