Hi guys, it's Jini! Following my Seongsu perfume-making post, today I'm recommending a pho spot in Seongsu, 'Thanon55' 🇹🇭 It's cooked by an actual Thai chef and every dish is applause-worthy 👏🏻👏🏻 so pay attention 😇
How to find Thanon55 and where to park
🚘There's no parking on site, so I parked at a public parking lot nearby.
Once you spot this yellow sign, you're in the right place!
Head up to the 2nd floor! Something about the entrance already feels promising~🙏🏻

I heard the gamjatang pho and curry tripe pho here were super hot right now, so

That's what I ordered! (🍯Since it's a top pho spot in Seongsu, be sure to try at least one pho dish)
How does the curry tripe pho taste?
The dishes I ordered arrived 🍽️
The curry tripe pho has an intense curry aroma. And on top there's a huge, crispy fried tripe 😆 This fried tripe is seriously insane ㅠㅠ It's even better dipped in Sriracha 🥹❤️ There's so much fat marbled in, it's ridiculously savory!
This broth is the real kicker...🔥 It tastes like curry but it's salty, punchy, and even spicy 🌶️ I'd genuinely recommend this as a hangover cure 👏🏻👏🏻 There's meat in there too, not just the fried tripe haha And if I order again I think I'll add fried rice 🍛 to soak up the broth with!
What the shrimp pad thai is like

🦐Squeezed lemon juice onto the shrimp pad thai — it comes with a little chili powder, ground peanuts, chives, and bean sprouts! I added more of the chili powder on the table 🌶️
Ta-da, here it is 🧂
It wasn't too sweet so it went down even easier! It came with egg too, which made it taste nutty and clean 👏🏻 The curry tripe pho was so intense that the pad thai almost felt bland by comparison ㅋㅋㅋㅋ but this dish was delicious too 😆
Would I go back to Thanon55?
It was here, now it's gone... This Seongsu pho spot was genuinely better than expected 🥹👍🏻 My revisit intent is 200%, and next time I want to order a different variety of menu items 😇🫶🏻
