Seongsu burger restaurant for six dishes with two people: bd Burger

My friend and I met up in Seongsu and, while trying to decide what to eat, finally checked out bd Burger Seongsu, a Seongsu Station burger place I'd been curious about for a while.

Seongsu has so many great burger spots that I went in with equal parts expectation and curiosity, but to cut to the chase — this ended up being one of the most satisfying hand-made burger places I've ever been to.

From the burgers to the sides to the milkshake, every single item had a clear personality, and the two of us kept saying how good everything was the whole meal.

What we ordered — six dishes for two

We went in determined to really eat, so we ordered generously.

We picked the weekday double cheeseburger lunch set and the bd grilled shrimp avocado burger as our mains, and added a milkshake and eggplant fritters.

On top of that, we threw in mushroom fritters and corn salad as sides, and the table filled up fast.

It was quite a lot of food for two people, but if you want to taste a bit of everything, I'd definitely recommend ordering this widely.

The classic double cheeseburger

First, the double cheeseburger lived up to its name — the meat and cheese both had a strong presence. The juicy thick patty and rich cheese worked well together, so anyone who likes a classic hand-made burger would be satisfied.

None of the ingredients stood out too aggressively, and the overall balance was good, so it tasted comfortably delicious from the very first bite.

The grilled shrimp avocado burger that made us go 'wow' after one bite

But the dish that surprised us most that day was, without question, the bd grilled shrimp avocado burger. The moment we took a bite, both my friend and I were immediately impressed.

Plump whole shrimp filled the bite, and the texture of the shrimp was really alive, blending naturally with the soft avocado and the other ingredients.

It felt completely different from the typical shrimp-patty burger — this one properly showcased the flavor and texture of whole shrimp, giving it a character you don't easily find elsewhere. If I come back, this is the dish I'd order again without hesitation.

The eggplant and mushroom fritters that exceeded expectations

bd Burger is also known for its fritters, so I was especially looking forward to the eggplant and mushroom fritters — and they exceeded expectations too.

The eggplant fritters were really crisp outside and moist inside, and the mushroom fritters had a juicy bite with a nutty flavor as soon as you chewed. Most surprising was how the crispiness held up even after some time had passed.

Dipped in the sauces served alongside, the distinct flavors of the eggplant and mushroom came through even more, so we kept reaching for them.

The refreshing corn salad that cut through the richness

Eating the corn salad in between bites was also a really good choice.

With all the burgers and fritters, things can get heavy, but the light, refreshing corn salad reset our palates each time, letting us keep enjoying the meal without feeling overwhelmed until the end.

A rich, classic-style milkshake

The milkshake we ordered alongside everything else was satisfying too.

Rather than being overly sweet, it was a classic-style milkshake centered on rich milk flavor, which paired really well with the burgers. Taking a bite of a salty, rich burger and then sipping a cold, smooth milkshake is a combination that's hard to beat.

A Seongsu burger place worth revisiting

I've been to plenty of hand-made burger places, but what stood out about bd Burger Seongsu was that it's not just the burgers that are good — the sides bring the overall quality up too.

Of everything, the grilled shrimp avocado burger, eggplant fritters, and mushroom fritters are the dishes I'd definitely want to have again.

If you're looking for a memorable hand-made burger in Seongsu rather than just an ordinary hamburger, this place is worth a visit. If my friend and I meet up in Seongsu again, this will definitely be on our list of Seongsu Station burger places to revisit.
