Pocheon Art Valley pasta restaurant: truffle mushroom cream, Eoneu Dal

In short

Eoneu Dal is a Western-style restaurant in Jeongmun-dong, Pocheon, Gyeonggi, serving pasta, risotto and steak near Pocheon Art Valley. Three friends booked a 5pm table through CatchTable and ordered mushroom cream pasta, garlic shrimp pasta and blue crab risotto, and each plate looked almost exactly like the menu photos. The rich mushroom cream pasta, scented with truffle oil, was the standout dish of the day.

Signature pasta photo at Eoneu Dal in Pocheon

Eoneu Dal, a Pocheon Art Valley restaurant find — real, genuine pasta taste in Pocheon.

I never thought to go eat pasta while I was in Pocheon... haha. I'd only ever been hunting down old-school Pocheon spots this whole time. Something about Pocheon's homey vibe made me assume there couldn't be a decent restaurant doing pasta, steak, and the like. 😤😤😤 To only find out about this place now!! Well, since I got a good chance to visit this time, I'll definitely be coming back often. Heh... here's the review!

How to book Eoneu Dal in Pocheon on CatchTable

Eoneu Dal, a pasta spot in Jeongmun-dong, Pocheon, gets especially packed on weekends if you show up without a reservation — reviews mention a default 30-minute wait. Weekday lunches often have waits too, so just in case, even at an awkward 5pm, we booked through CatchTable before heading over. 💛

Is Eoneu Dal good for group gatherings? Floral interior and seating

Eoneu Dal is laid out well for groups, so even though we came right after break time ended, there were already other guests before us. Looking at the photos, I guess that's because the place is perfect for meetups.

Before the crowd filled in, I snapped photos here and there — and wow, the flower interior was done so beautifully 💕 (っ˘з(˘⌣˘ ) ♡ Every angle made for a lovely photo.

Ordering at Eoneu Dal with the table QR code

At Eoneu Dal, you scan the QR code attached to the table and can easily and simply pick your menu and order. Even older folks wouldn't have trouble with this method — it seemed better than kiosk ordering. 🫶 🍝 🧀 🍅

What's on the Eoneu Dal menu: pasta, risotto, steak and more

Eoneu Dal's menu selection was quite broad, and I only photographed the parts we were interested in. If we'd come with more people, we could've ordered gnocchi, pilaf, steak and more all around and savored everything, but since it was just three women this time, we picked 2 pastas and 1 risotto. Ugh... such a shame ㅠㅠ Next time I definitely want to come with big eaters and clean the whole table!

I liked that Eoneu Dal's menu shows exactly what each dish looks like in photos. What was even more impressive is that these photos often differ slightly from the real thing at other places — but here, as you'll see from the actual dish photos later, it's basically copy-paste from the menu board. 👉🏆💯

From the pre-meal bread on, every dish at Eoneu Dal was done properly

At Eoneu Dal, from the pre-meal bread onward, every single dish was solidly delicious. I expected some wait time after ordering, but oh — it came out faster than fast food. That kind of speed is only possible in Korea. 💯 Totally loved it~~❤️

As I said earlier, starting with the mushroom cream pasta that was a 100% match to the menu photo, the rest of the dishes came out speedily with almost no time gap between them.

Ugh... I should've held off just a little and taken a photo once everything was all out... haha. By the time I photographed it, we'd already dug into the mushroom cream pasta and mussed it up a bit, so its shape is a little disheveled, but it's still a pretty food shot.

Especially the garlic shrimp pasta, with its combo of shrimp, mushroom, and zucchini — the color combination is insane. This one looks delicious just from the photo. Of course it tastes even better when you eat it. 🥹

The blue crab risotto also comes with a heap of nicely reddened, well-cooked crab piled on top.

Rich mushroom cream pasta with truffle oil, the dish of the day

🍝🤍 All three of us went silent mid-chat like it was rehearsed — haha, we just quietly went munch munch munch. Endless munching~~

The pickles that cut through the richness in between bites were tasty too, and the mushroom cream pasta was more intensely flavorful than expected. You could smell truffle oil in it — seems like they don't skimp on good ingredients. 👍

Blue crab risotto, the May-only special still on the menu

Apparently this was originally a May-only menu item, but thanks to the crab's popularity it was still on the lineup when we went in early September. As you can see from the photos above, there's generously more than one whole crab piled on top — picking the crab meat and layering it onto the risotto made it super creamy and nutty, genuinely excellent. The rosé pasta, mingled together with shrimp, zucchini, mushroom, and minari (water dropwort), was also a very solid choice. Honestly, there wasn't a single dish we'd have skipped 💗

Would I go back to Eoneu Dal in Pocheon?

A place I never knew about before, but now that I do, I'll probably be coming here often. I lean more toward Korean food than pasta — I'm a total gukbap (soup with rice) lover — yet even I enjoyed the food here at Eoneu Dal. It passes as a spot to add some energy to my Pocheon life this year.
