Fish restaurant near IKEA Goyang: croaker and flounder set for two

A good Goyang IKEA restaurant to bring your parents to — this is my third (or fourth!) visit to Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa, a wood-fired grilled fish specialist. I've brought both sets of parents here, and it's the family's go-to spot whenever we're driving around Goyang and get a craving for grilled fish! This Seongsa-dong favorite has parking in front and beside the restaurant, so it's easy to drive here too.

What's on the menu at Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa, and how much is it?

This Goyang IKEA-area fish restaurant serves a seasonal fish set that keeps changing. On the day we visited, the 2-person set was croaker and flounder; from 3 people you add gurnard and cutlassfish; from 4 people you add rockfish. There's also a weekday lunch special at an even better price, so it's worth stopping by for a weekday lunch too! They also do lunchbox sets for delivery, so if you're ordering delivery around Seongsa-dong in Goyang, Min Cook Apbadang isn't a bad choice :)

At this Goyang restaurant, everyone orders one set per person, and one menu per person applies from elementary-school age up.

Menu prices at Min Cook Apbadang, the seasonal wood-fired grilled fish spot near IKEA Goyang. You order via the kiosk at your table, and we went with the charcoal bulgogi + seasonal grilled fish set for two. A more filling combo since you get grilled fish and bulgogi both! The standard seasonal grilled fish set is ₩20,000 per person, and you can also choose it braised instead. The braised version looked spicy and delicious too — I'll have to try it once it gets colder!

Why Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa works for a meal with parents

The interior at Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa is pleasant and the tables are spaced generously, so you can eat comfortably — a solid Goyang IKEA-area restaurant. The atmosphere is tidy too, making it a good place to bring your parents.

The side dishes are varied and refillable too, so it feels like a full hanjeongsik (Korean set-course meal). My parents are always thrilled when I bring them here haha. Since it's genuinely a good place to visit with parents, it looks like they were even running an event giving guests who came with their parents a side dish like jeotgal (salted seafood).

The seasonal fish comes pre-grilled and is kept gently warm on a hot plate, so there's no worry about it going cold — you can enjoy it deliciously to the very end. Beautifully browned, crisp-outside-tender-inside seasonal fish!!

Maybe because Min Cook Apbadang, this Goyang IKEA-area restaurant, only uses carefully selected seasonal fish, the flesh felt plump and the portions generous. Not too salty, seasoned just right — a light, clean flavor that both adults and kids can enjoy without feeling heavy!

The set at this Seongsa-dong favorite is already generous with side dishes and mains, and then the sotbap arrives too — just perfect,,, no wonder I keep coming back ㅠㅠ The sotbap is bean rice too, so it's extra filling, warm, and has that chewy texture>.<

Side dishes like jeotgal, sikhye (sweet rice punch), sujeonggwa (cinnamon punch), soy-marinated crab, marinated abalone, and marinated shrimp are also sold separately — great for picking up holiday gifts too! Min Cook Apbadang, this Goyang IKEA-area and Seongsa-dong favorite, is great for a family gathering around the upcoming Chuseok holiday and a good place to bring your parents.
