Negi Silbi Sinsa is a seasonal seafood pub near Garosu-gil and Sinsa Station in Gangnam, Seoul, and it is known for long waits. Today I finally made it to Negi Silbi, a place I've been dying to visit for so~~~~o long!!
When you do a lot of blog sponsorships, sometimes you run into places and think, why does this place even need promotion? That's exactly this spot.. Honestly Negi Silbi is already a waiting-list nightmare of a restaurant that doesn't need any promotion!!!!
I got to do the sponsorship and go restaurant-hunting at the same time, haha. Bottom line up front: I'm 100% coming back!!!!!

What is on the menu at Negi Silbi Sinsa?
Here's the menu at Negi Silbi Sinsa.

They said the menu changes often depending on seasonal ingredients! For seafood lovers like me, this Sinsa Station spot is basically heaven.

Table setting and the radish and shio-kombu salad
This is the basic table setting at Negi Silbi Sinsa. Even the wet wipes felt fancy, and the radish and shio-kombu salad they gave us before the meal was really special and delicious!!
Even the pre-meal salad shows Negi Silbi's signature style — the best pocha in Sinsa.

We ordered soju and ginger ale, haha. Pubs that actually have ginger ale are really rare, so this was amazing ㅠㅠ I really love ginger ale. It was my first time mixing soju with ginger ale and it was so good.
We figured we had to order Negi Silbi's signature menu?? So we went for the sashimi!!!
How does the Jinju-style sea bream makhoe (52,000 won) taste?
This is Negi Silbi's Jinju-style chalttomi makhoe medium (₩52,000)! They said the medium size comes with 200g of sashimi!

I really love this makjang (spicy dipping sauce), you know? And it totally lived up to expectations ㅠㅠ Seriously so good...............

And for anyone thinking sashimi is pretty much the same everywhere~ nope ㅠㅠ Negi Silbi is different.. I'm not exaggerating, the sashimi itself was so rich and chewy and just soooooo delicious.............. If you go to Negi Silbi, you have to order the sashimi ㅠㅠ

Wrap it in a perilla leaf with makjang, chili, garlic, and sea bream sashimi and you'll pass out instantly.

Live octopus and beef brisket stone grill (65,000 won), cooked at your table
And then the live octopus and beef stone grill we ordered (₩65,000). Negi Silbi also has plenty of options for people who can't eat raw fish, which I loved!!
If someone in your group can't eat sashimi, it's kind of awkward picking a restaurant, right? But here they have a good balance of cooked and raw menus, so it's great!! I was so excited I immediately started messaging my friend group chat about doing our next meetup here, haha.
They said the live octopus and beef stone grill at Negi Silbi, a top Sinsa Station pocha, tends to splatter the sauce a lot, so they sometimes cook it in the kitchen and bring it out. We wanted to see this 'performance' (?) so we asked them to cook it at our table!

A dish with one whole live octopus in it!!

They intentionally didn't cook the octopus all the way through, and it was seriously so tender it was insane ㅠㅠ If you're looking for octopus stir-fry near Sinsa Station, just go to Negi Silbi..
Also the stone plate holds so much heat that even after the flame went out, it stayed warm for a long time! Beef can get greasy when it cools down because of all the fat, but thanks to the stone plate we could eat it warm the whole way through, which I loved.

Ah it was so good.

Then we went back for more sea bream sashimi too, haha. Wrapped in seaweed and sea greens, it's also seriously mind-blowing ㅠㅠ

How do you avoid the wait at Negi Silbi Sinsa?
Negi Silbi Sinsa gets busy, so I'd recommend arriving before 6:30pm if you can, or definitely making a reservation before you go!!!
- For anyone looking for a great restaurant or pub near Garosu-gil!!
- For anyone looking for the best seasonal seafood spot
- For anyone who wants to have a group gathering at a seafood restaurant!
- For anyone who wants a date at a great pub near Sinsa Station!
Negi Silbi Sinsa really is a place I'd recommend to everyone.
