Chuseok family lunch at a Dalmaji-gil Chinese restaurant: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant with European-style interiors on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. On a weekend lunch visit, three dishes were shared — beef belly jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup, swapped to rice), black vinegar sirloin sweet and sour pork, and chili jjajang noodles — and the small lot beside the restaurant was full, so parking ended up on the roadside. With group tables available, Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch made a strong candidate for a Chuseok family meal.

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch: a Chinese restaurant that looks different from the start
Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. I've been looking for a place near Haeundae these days that has both a nice vibe and food that actually delivers 🤍 and that's exactly what Bueokgan Chinese is :) I expected the usual familiar Chinese-restaurant atmosphere, but this place felt a little different from the first impression 👀✨

The European-style building and interior on Dalmaji-gil
The building itself is so clean and the atmosphere so upscale that I thought, "Wait, is this really a Chinese restaurant?" haha. There's a subtle European feel mixed in, so photos come out really pretty 📸

Going inside, I liked it even more — clean, but not too stiff!

The lighting and the overall space have a nice mood, so it'd work well with friends or with family 🥰 It's completely different from the typical Chinese restaurant feel I had in mind, so I felt good even before eating haha

Parking at Bueokgan on a weekend lunch: was the lot full?
Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch has parking space right beside the restaurant, and there's also a dedicated lot just down the street, which is convenient 🚗 For anyone driving there, parking is always a curious point!

When I visited it was weekend lunch, so the lot beside the restaurant wasn't spacious and I parked on the street instead, but it wasn't a big inconvenience for driving there :)
Thinking about it this way, having parking sorted out too — which is a surprisingly important condition when looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Haeundae — was a nice bonus 🙌

Group tables and a Chuseok family meal
And there's also seating inside for groups, so it's fine for eating together with several people!!
✅If you're looking for somewhere for a family meal with the upcoming Chuseok holiday, there's no reason not to visit Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch! 🤍

That day we ordered three things: beef belly jjamppong, black vinegar pork with sirloin, and spicy jjajangmyeon!

With Chinese food, there's a real joy in ordering several dishes and sharing a little of each haha 😋
Beef belly jjamppong served over rice instead of noodles
First up, beef belly jjamppong 🍜 The moment I took the first spoonful of broth, I thought, "Ah, I ordered well today" haha

The broth is refreshing yet deep and rich, with a subtle spicy kick building up afterward — completely my style! I swapped noodles for jjamppong rice that day, and I really have to praise myself for that choice~~~👏👏

Anyone who had a drink the night before would find this broth hard to pass up haha. Dipping the rice lightly into the broth, before I knew it the whole bowl was nearly gone~🤣 The rich, spicy broth pairs so well with rice that I personally want to recommend the jjamppong rice version!

The signature black vinegar sirloin sweet and sour pork
And the black vinegar pork with sirloin I'd been looking forward to 🤎 It's said to be Bueokgan Chinese's signature dish, and once I tried it, I understood right away why it's so popular

Made with Chinese black vinegar sauce, it has a much deeper flavor than the usual sweet and sour pork sauce! The meat is moist and tender, while the batter is just crispy enough — the texture combination is so good ✨

Above all, the portion was more generous than I expected — at first I thought "can we really finish all this?" haha but my chopsticks kept going back for more 😌 If you're picking one cooked dish at a good Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, I hope you make sure to try the sweet and sour pork at Bueokgan Chinese >_<

Chili jjajang noodles with a smoky wok aroma
Last up, spicy jjajangmyeon 🌶️ What's charming here is a subtle smoky flavor you notice from the very first bite,,,, on top of jjajang's rich, signature sauce, the smokiness really brings the flavor alive in your mouth!

Mixing the jjajang sauce evenly through the noodles and taking a big bite, you get a savory, deeply flavorful taste followed by a clean, light spiciness from the chili at the end 😋 That's probably why I kept going for one more bite, then another haha

Eating the three dishes together, the refreshing spicy jjamppong, the richness of the sweet and sour pork, and the smoky jjajangmyeon made a perfect combination 💛 And it wasn't just the food — the space itself is so pretty that I could really enjoy the atmosphere throughout the meal!

Who should eat at Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch?
I felt that Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch works well all around — for dates, friend gatherings, and family meals :) These days, when picking a good restaurant, taste matters, but so does the atmosphere, parking, and who you're going with haha

If you're looking for somewhere to take your parents, I think it's a pretty good choice — not too casual, while still being an easy, comfortable meal! 🤍
If you like sharing several delicious dishes at a Chinese restaurant with a good vibe like I do, it's worth stopping by at least once ☺️

With Chuseok next week, I'm already thinking about where to eat with my family, and this time I think I should come back with my parents for a family meal 🥰

Next time I'll try a few different menu items haha. If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae that also nails the atmosphere, I recommend Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch! ✨
