I'm actually a full-blooded Korean but I honestly love bread more than rice. My mom used to joke I should marry a foreigner haha. Today's story is about a brunch I had with my sister at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, a well-known brunch café in Gwangalli.

Famous Benny, a well-known Gwangalli brunch café, sits right across from the Millak-dong Community Center, so it was easy to find. Parking is at nearby paid lots. You'll find a lovely two-floor brunch café with great vibes.

Famous Benny is a brunch café built around Australian-style brunch. Unlike most brunch spots, it opens at 8am, so you can comfortably enjoy brunch and coffee even early in the day.

What's on the menu
Let's take a look at the delicious menu at Famous Benny, a well-known Gwangalli brunch café.

There's hand-drip coffee along with a variety of coffee drinks, lattes, ades, teas, smoothies and a wide range of brunch dishes. They even have acai bowls.

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch was selected as a 2026 Blue Ribbon restaurant. I love the Blue Ribbon Survey haha! They're also running a receipt review event, so don't miss it!

I loved that each hand-drip coffee bean is explained individually. Next time I want to try the hand-drip coffee too.

The sunlit second-floor seating
After ordering brunch at Famous Benny, a well-known Gwangalli brunch café, we headed up to the second floor and the vibe got even better. Bright, sunlit space, a hip interior mood, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for lingering — it seems like the kind of place that suits mornings when you want to pair a meal with coffee, midday when you want a light brunch, or any day you just want to spend time in a place with good feeling.

Famous Benny seems ready to offer good coffee, a great atmosphere, and a way to start the day feeling good.

Two plates of brunch with my sister
Here's what we ordered at Famous Benny, a well-known Gwangalli brunch café. Just looking at it, it couldn't possibly taste bad. The plating comes out so pretty too.

The Famous Benny salmon
This is what I ordered — the signature The Famous Benny salmon. A perfectly balanced signature eggs benedict with croissant, poached egg, avocado, sabayon sauce, macadamia, and onion chips.

Personally, I felt Famous Benny's brunch dishes are not just pretty and tasty but also generously portioned — enough for two people to share.

I even popped the poached egg and ate it up happily. It was totally my taste, so I want to go back and eat it again.

Bacon scramble toast
This is the bacon scramble toast my sister ordered. A steady favorite brunch dish worldwide, made up of scrambled eggs, bacon, basil cream cheese, and sourdough.

The bacon scramble toast was also genuinely generous in portion and looked impossible to taste bad. We ate it up with great satisfaction.

For drinks, my sister had apple carrot juice and I had an iced americano — both really good.

If you're looking for a well-known Gwangalli brunch café, give Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch a try. Personally, I'd go back 100% of the time!!
