Gangnam café 5 min from Gangnam Station: matcha latte & lemon

I was looking for a café near Gangnam Station and came across Selected Nicks.

5 minutes from Gangnam Station, a large 5-floor café

It's about a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station, so accessibility was really good. There are tons of cafés around Gangnam Station, but unlike the usual small ones, Selected Nicks is a large café spread across 5 floors, so I was pretty excited about the scale even before going in.

Once I actually visited, the space was divided by floor, so it felt much bigger and more relaxed than I expected. Even during busy hours, instead of everyone crowding into one space, people were spread across the floors, so it was fairly comfortable to stay. It seemed especially good for meeting a friend near Gangnam Station or taking a short break before or after an appointment. With great accessibility and such a spacious layout, I thought it was a great place both for a quick coffee chat and for spending time leisurely.

The unique display that caught my eye the moment I walked in! There's a large object in the center with various products displayed around it, so it was fun just to look around.

How were the iced americano, matcha latte, and lemon madeleine?

What I ordered that day was

The iced americano is the most basic thing I reach for at any café, so I ordered it, and it was clean and easy to drink. It wasn't too heavy alongside a sweet dessert, so it paired well with the lemon madeleine. I ordered the matcha latte because I like matcha's slightly bitter, nutty flavor, and drinking it cold was great for spending relaxed time at the café.

The lemon madeleine I ordered for dessert also went well with the coffee. The soft, fluffy texture typical of madeleines combined with the refreshing lemon flavor, and eating it with the americano felt cleansing on the palate. It seemed like a good fit for anyone looking for a light dessert to go with coffee rather than something too heavy.

Why I'd recommend this Gangnam Station large café

Above all, I think Selected Nicks' biggest strength is really its space and location. Being close to Gangnam Station and made up of 5 floors, it definitely had a different vibe than the typical Gangnam Station café.
