Hadae-dong naengmyeon restaurant on the way to Hadong: Songgiwon

Whoa, our family was headed to Hadong for a trip, so we figured we'd stop by Jinju too! Jinju means Jinju naengmyeon (cold noodles), right? Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon — a place I went to with my parents before! They have a direct-run store too, so I hopped right over. Here's my review of Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store, a Jinju cold noodle spot.

Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon in Hadae-dong: exterior and parking

Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store is a naengmyeon specialty restaurant that occupies an entire building at 49 Cheonsu-ro in Jinju. It has a really spacious private parking lot, which made it super convenient to stop by car on the way to Hadong.

Oh, this Jinju naengmyeon spot has the whole building to itself. Definitely a popular place. And the parking lot at this Jinju naengmyeon spot is private and really spacious, which was super convenient too.

What the dining room and seating are like

The inside of Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store is full of wood tones overall, which made it even prettier. We went at an off-peak time, but it was still packed with people.

Menu prices and what a family of four ordered

The menu board at Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store has naengmyeon (cold noodles), rice dishes, and even yukjeon (pan-fried beef). Our family of four ordered a nice variety.

How the galbitang, yukjeon and three naengmyeon tasted

The naengmyeon and galbitang at Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon Direct Store came out really fast after ordering. Basically fast-food speed.

Whoa, our Jinju naengmyeon really came out fast!!! Seriously fast, like fast food.

Dongilgae galbitang (beef short rib soup), 16,000 won

First up, the fennec fox's galbitang (short rib soup)! Whoa, the broth was refreshing and the ribs were tender — pretty solid, right?

Yukjeon (pan-fried beef), 25,000 won

And then, the truly, truly delicious yukjeon!!! Warm yukjeon with cold naengmyeon went together so well ㅠㅠ The egg coating and tender yukjeon were just so good. Even our little one ate it really well.

Nongae 1593 bibim-naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles), 13,000 won

And then, dad's mouthwatering bibim-naengmyeon! Oh, the noodle color is gorgeous too. As expected, topped generously with yukjeon garnish too. Dad said the sauce was clean-tasting.

And mom's mul-naengmyeon! The broth was refreshing and clean — way better than the naengmyeon place near our house! Piled high with yukjeon garnish too, which made it extra filling.

Songgiwon 1997 mul-bibim-naengmyeon, 14,000 won

And finally, my own mul-bibim-naengmyeon!! Oh, I really liked being able to taste the combination of mul (broth) and bibim (spicy sauce) in one bowl. I think I'll order this again next time.

Is Songgiwon Jinju Naengmyeon worth a stop on the Hadong drive?
