This is Geumrang Hoetjip Gwangalli Main Branch, a Busan sashimi restaurant with a gorgeous view of Gwangan Bridge.
A Gwangalli sashimi restaurant with a Gwangan Bridge view
I visited Geumrang Hoetjip, where you can see Gwangan Bridge in full view. If you're eating sashimi in Gwangalli, you've got to go to a place with an ocean view, right? This spot is near Gwangalli Waterside Park, and you can enjoy sashimi and all kinds of seafood dishes while looking out at a stunning ocean view. It's been selected for the 💙Blue Ribbon Survey three years running — 2024, 2025, and 2026 — and the 🎀Red Ribbon Survey two years running, 2025 and 2026.

Geumrang Hoetjip is on the 6th floor of the building. I took the elevator up, and as soon as I got off, the entrance was right there on the left.

Right from the entrance, there were all kinds of signatures and Blue Ribbon / Red Ribbon certification stickers on display. It's apparently appeared on the TV show Battle Trip too.
There was also a signature from former President Moon Jae-in. Made me think — if even a president comes here, it must really be the real deal.

There was also a well-maintained fish tank.
Window seats with an ocean view, and parking
We went inside. We'd made a reservation in advance, and as soon as we sat down, Gwangan Bridge came into full view.
The weather was great and the sea was right there outside the window — it felt so refreshing. I could even see the parking lot where we'd parked.
🅿️ Geumrang Hoetjip offers a 2-hour parking voucher for the public lots near Suyeon Park and Suyeon Children's Park right by the store entrance. During the day you get blue sea and Gwangan Bridge views, and in the evening you can dine looking out at the bridge's night view — this seems like a great spot for a date or a special occasion.
Menu and the price of subyeon hansang

They offer all kinds of course meals, from lunch specials to the Geumrang hansang. We ordered the subyeon hansang (₩60,000 per person) for 3 people. It's a course where you get to enjoy not just sashimi but a wide variety of seafood dishes together.

You order using the kiosk set up at each table.
A generously loaded spread of banchan

Such a wide variety of food came out. Mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), corn cheese, marinated shrimp, grilled cheese scallops, kimchi pancake, abalone, seaweed soup, nakji tangtang-i (chopped raw octopus), salmon salad — the range was really impressive.
Boiled octopus came out too, and the table was already full. When I go to a sashimi restaurant, I actually love it more when the banchan is varied than the sashimi itself, and Geumrang Hoetjip delivered on that front.

Sea squirt, sea cucumber, tako wasabi, gaebul (spoon worm), and boiled shrimp came out separately as well — a course where you get to taste plenty of fresh seafood too.
The main sashimi — flounder sashimi, tried for the first time
Finally, the main sashimi arrived. Since it was a 3-person course, it came split across two plates.

Several kinds of sashimi came out. I actually tried flounder sashimi for the first time here, and it had a chewier, cleaner-tasting texture than I expected — right up my alley. It was good dipped in chojang (vinegar-chili sauce), but I also liked dipping it lightly in soy sauce to taste the fish itself. Alongside the sashimi, konowata (sea cucumber intestines) came out too.
Konowata has a distinct briny aroma and a deep umami flavor, so eating it together with the sashimi gave a totally different kind of taste.
Sushi rice also came out, so topping it with sashimi made the fish even more enjoyable.
And the dishes kept on coming
A Chilean sea bass steak came out too — the flesh was soft and clean-tasting, good to eat between bites of sashimi.
Egg-and-roe rice (albap) came out as well. I was already full, but it was so good I couldn't help eating it.
🌽Corn fritters and 🐟braised flounder also came out, and even after all that seafood and sashimi, I ate them with real enjoyment.

Maeuntang (spicy fish stew) came out too. Finishing off the sashimi with a warm bowl of soup felt truly satisfying.
Final verdict
If you want to enjoy sashimi with an ocean view in Gwangalli, I'd recommend visiting Geumrang Hoetjip, a local favorite. The view straight out at Gwangan Bridge combined with the sheer variety of dishes meant we got to sample a little bit of everything, which I loved. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a spot for a family meal or gathering in Gwangalli, or an ocean-view sashimi restaurant with Gwangan Bridge in sight.
