Solo dining at a Busan Station pork soup restaurant: Yeongdong
In short
Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a new milmyeon (cold wheat noodle) and dwaeji gukbap (pork soup with rice) restaurant that recently opened right next to Busan Station in Dong-gu, Busan. Stopping in alone for a late lunch, the suyuk baekban (boiled pork set, 13,000 won) arrived the moment it was ordered, and the milky, mild broth tasted fine even without the seasoning sauce. With window seats that have luggage space under the chairs, Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap works well as a solo-dining stop near Busan Station.

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch Daily 10:00–20:30 Last order 20:10 🅿️ No parking support
I visited Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch, which just opened right beside Busan Station.

Is there parking at Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch?
🚗 There's no dedicated lot and no parking support here. The nearest option is the Asti Hotel parking lot, which costs ₩2,000 per 30 minutes! Otherwise you'll need a private lot nearby (parking near Busan Station is just expensive in general, ugh).

Window seats for solo diners and the mood inside Yeongdong Milmyeon
Since it's a new place, the store was definitely clean and pleasant. It's on the larger side, but the center of the hall was full of customers so I couldn't photograph it — I mostly captured the emptier spots.

Being window seats at a restaurant right near Busan Station, it was really great for eating alone. There was even space under the chairs to put your luggage!

Paper cups, various condiments, and water are set up at every table.

The utensil holder was clean too — the wet wipes are also kept inside it~

Suyuk baekban at 13,000 won: served the moment it was ordered
Suyuk baekban (₩13,000) — that's what I ordered. True to a gukbap restaurant, it was lightning fast! The dish arrived almost right after I ordered. I didn't have much time to eat, so having the food come out so quickly was such a relief.

The side dishes with the suyuk baekban were dried radish strips, diced radish kimchi, kimchi, lettuce, onion • garlic • chili peppers, and ssamjang (dipping sauce).
I love chives, so I piled a bunch into the broth~ If you prefer a clean, plain broth, you could probably just skip the chives and eat it as is.

Normally when I go to a gukbap place I tend to order naejang gukbap (offal soup) or a mixed soup rather than a baekban set, but since they don't sell offal separately here, I went with the hearty suyuk baekban instead~ Can you see how milky the broth is, haha? It had a clean, light flavor. I ate it without adding the seasoning sauce and it was still good.

How much lean meat to fat in the suyuk (boiled pork)?
And the most important thing about suyuk baekban — the color of the pork and the right balance between lean meat and fat!! I'm not really a fan of fat, but if suyuk is all lean it's too dry, and if it's too fatty it's too greasy — that ratio really matters. The fat here wasn't mushy, and the meat was tender and delicious~ A separate dipping sauce for the pork also came out, and they said they'd give more side dishes if I ran low.

I'm obsessed with lettuce wraps, so I have to wrap every single bite of meat~ Putting a piece of pork on lettuce, then onion, garlic, ssamjang, and even dried radish strips on top, and eating it in one bite — so good! It was a slightly late lunch and I was starving, but ordering the suyuk baekban left me completely full and satisfied.

Worth recommending for eating alone near Busan Station?
Next time I'll have to try the milmyeon too~ Since it's right near Busan Station, I imagine a lot of solo travelers pass through, and I'd highly recommend Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap as a solo-dining restaurant near Busan Station 👍🏻
