Gwangalli pizza restaurant hot honey pepperoni set for two: Extra Mile

Today I went to Extra Mile, a new pizza spot in Gwangalli, Busan. It's a new restaurant styled like a pretty house, and the food was great and the vibe was even better! The coloring paper on the tables was such a unique touch, and it's honestly perfect for taking kids along. Where do you park at Extra Mile?

Extra Mile doesn't have its own parking lot, but the Suyeong-gu Gwangan Public Parking Lot is about a 6-minute walk away. Parking around Gwangalli is generally tricky, so if you're driving, I'd recommend checking availability ahead of time.

How long is the wait, and what does Extra Mile look like?

Extra Mile is decorated like a pretty house from the outside, so you can tell right away it has a great atmosphere ✨ Even though it's a newly opened place in Gwangalli, it was already packed!

If we'd arrived just a bit later, the wait would have gotten pretty long ㅜㅜ

You can join the remote waitlist in advance through Catchtable, so I'd recommend registering ahead if you're planning to visit ✌️ Especially on weekends or during lunch hours, joining the waitlist early is a good idea.

Inside Extra Mile: atmosphere and seating

True to its status as a new Gwangalli hotspot, the interior was really clean, with a wood-and-white tone that felt open yet cozy overall.

It has an open kitchen so you can watch the food being made, and plenty of sunlight comes in, making it nice to visit during the day 😊

There's a separate bar seating area and group seating too, so it seemed easy to pick a spot depending on the occasion, from dates to family meals.

And here's the part I thought was the cutest, haha

Coloring paper and colored pencils on every table

There were bowls and utensils on the Extra Mile tables, and underneath them was paper — turns out it was actually paper you could draw and color on 🥺 Each table had its own set of crayons, and the drawings were slightly different at each seat!

Kids would really love this, so if you're looking for things to do with children in Gwangalli, this could be worth checking out 🫶

There's also a self-serve bar on one side where you can grab water, pickles, or napkins as needed.

Extra Mile menu, prices and what to order

The menu is written in both Korean and English, so it looked easy for foreign visitors to order too.

They basically have pizza and pasta menus, plus a two-person set and a 3–4-person family set, so ordering a set menu is a good option if you're visiting with a group 👍 You can also order pizza half-and-half, which was great for trying two flavors at once.

Under each menu name, the ingredients are listed too, so you could get a sense of the flavor beforehand, and cheese crust is available for an extra ₩4,000 🧀 They also give one free drink if you write a review, so it's worth checking out that event too 😆

Tasting the two-person set at Extra Mile

We ordered the two-person set!

The food came out almost right away, and honestly the pizza's visuals alone were insane 🔥

True to its reputation as a Gwangalli pizza spot, it looked so pretty that I took a ton of photos first, haha

The hot honey pepperoni tasted pretty close to a regular pepperoni pizza, but with ricotta and mascarpone cheese added, the cheese flavor felt much~~ richer 🧀

I especially loved the end of the crust, haha. The tail end was super fluffy and soft without being chewy at all — it had a bit of a pizza-bagel feel!

I'm a fan of this kind of plain, subtle flavor, so I actually loved this crust the most 🥺 It was good enough that I'd want to eat it sold separately, haha

The birria taco pizza, true to its name, really tasted like a taco. It has cilantro in it, and since I'm not great with cilantro, I was a little worried at first ㅜㅜ

But the cilantro scent wasn't too strong — just a hint of it — and the distinct taco flavor came through well 🫶

There were small taco pieces inside too, along with beef and a powdery cream, so it really did feel like eating a taco in pizza form 😜 If you're very sensitive to cilantro, you could ask to leave it out when ordering.

Bisque cream pasta

For the pasta, we went with bisque cream!

Since the pizza had meat and ham, I picked a seafood-style pasta for balance — it came with about 4 shrimp and a topping of gamtae (dried seaweed flakes), which was a unique touch 🫢

And even though it's a cream pasta, it wasn't heavy at all. It actually felt as clean and light as an oil pasta, so it was easy to eat alongside the pizza without feeling too full 👍

The seafood aroma from the gamtae and shrimp was strong and filled the whole mouth, and since it tasted completely different from the pizza, eating them together made the meal even better 😆 Going back and forth between the meat-and-cheese pizza and the bisque cream pasta felt like a refreshing palate reset each time ✨ If you're looking for Gwangalli pasta, this is worth trying 😊

Is Extra Mile in Gwangalli worth it?

Overall, Extra Mile had a clean, pretty atmosphere that made it a great spot for a Gwangalli date.

Especially during the day, with all the sunlight pouring in, it seemed like a good spot for Gwangalli lunch too. Since you can get pizza and pasta together, I'd recommend it if you're looking for Western food in Gwangalli, and getting to try multiple flavors with the half-and-half pizza was a nice bonus 👍

With the coloring tables, it also seemed great for visiting with kids, so if you're looking for things to do with children in Gwangalli, keep this in mind 🥰 Next time I want to try other pizza flavors, and I'm really curious about the white ragu pasta and peanut butter pasta, so I'd definitely go back 😆🔥 If you've been looking for Gwangalli pizza or Gwangalli pasta, Extra Mile is worth a visit 🫶✨
