Hapjeong coffee shop where the owner picks the beans: Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a hand-drip coffee café in Mapo, Seoul that roasts its own beans, 143m on foot from Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station. Visiting after lunch with friends, the writer described her taste to the owner and was steered to Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed and Ethiopia Single Farmer Nigusse Gemeda Baturo, ordered alongside a Sunkist lemonade and a classic tiramisu. The acidity stayed gentle enough for people who usually avoid sour coffee, and the terrace and glass-walled roasting view made Central Site Hapjeong an easy recommendation.

How to reach Central Site Hapjeong: 143m from Hapjeong Station Exit 2
I had plans to meet friends at Hapjeong Station, and after lunch we headed to Central Site Hapjeong, a Hapjeong café known for its hand-drip coffee!☕️
What Central Site Hapjeong looks like inside and out

There was plenty of seating scattered throughout the café, and maybe because it was crisp autumn weather, a lot of guests were using the terrace!🍁🍂
Vintage wood-toned interior — totally my taste, so full of atmosphere✨
Too many beans to choose from? Ask the owner at Central Site Hapjeong

Looking at the menu, there were so many kinds of beans I genuinely couldn't decide!🧐

After going back and forth, I ended up telling the owner what I usually like, and they kindly recommended some beans!
The coffees my friends and I got recommended were Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed and Ethiopia Single Farmer Nigusse Gemeda Baturo 74158 Classic Washed Dark Room!
So we ordered Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed + Ethiopia Single Farmer Nigusse Gemeda Baturo 74158 Classic Washed Dark Room + Sunkist lemonade + classic tiramisu!
The glass-walled roasting view and smelling the beans before ordering
After placing our order, I looked over and thought — wait, what is this?

Central Site Hapjeong roasts its own beans in-house!
Watching beans being roasted isn't something you see often, and here it's all behind a giant glass wall — so fascinating to watch👀 (You could really feel how serious the owner is about coffee!)
And one more thing that made this place special — there were so many hand-drip options, and you could smell-test every single one!☕️
While we waited, watching the owner brew our hand-drip coffee was such a cool sight!👍🏻

While chatting with my friends, our coffees, drinks, and tiramisu showed up🖤
Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed: how the drip tasted

I knew going in this was an acidic coffee, and since I don't usually like sour coffee, I was a little worried☕️ But the acidity was gentler than I expected and not overwhelming at all, so I could enjoy it without any hesitation — Guatemala Entre Volcanes was delicious✨
Ethiopia Single Farmer Nigusse Gemeda Baturo 74158 Classic Washed Dark Room

Faint jasmine and white floral notes, bright orange, lemon, and bergamot flavors, plus a candy-like sweet finish — the acidity wasn't overwhelming and it was a clean, easy coffee to drink✨
Sunkist lemonade at Central Site Hapjeong

And then I enjoyed a refreshing lemonade🍋 Sweet and tangy with tons of fizzy refreshment — great to sip between coffee and dessert. It cleaned my palate so nicely, which made it even better!
Classic tiramisu, the dessert to pair with drip coffee

And for dessert, we ordered tiramisu cake🤎
Soft cream and a moist sponge layered with sweet chocolate topping — it paired so well with the rich chocolate flavor! The perfect combo to finish off the meal!♥️
Where the restroom is

Head left out of the café and it's right there in the corridor of Namkyung Building 1/2 — shared restroom for everyone! (Mouthwash provided!💙)
