A must-visit bakery in Unjeong, Paju: Boulangerie Tan!

Is parking available at Boulangerie Tan Unjeong Main Branch?

Located in Dongpae-dong, Paju, Boulangerie Tan is a popular bakery in Unjeong where most of the breads can sell out by 3 p.m. It sells straightforward breads and European-style sandwiches.
What makes Boulangerie Tan's bread even more special is that it uses only naturally cultivated starter and organic French flour. They also say they use absolutely no artificial additives such as preservatives or coloring, so these would make such great nutritious snacks for kids, too!
Boulangerie Tan is in the Farmstar Tower building, where the parking setup is great. Buy bread, register your parking, and you can park for free!
Inside the shop, with its open kitchen and display cases

Boulangerie Tan is filled with a large open kitchen and bread display cases. You can see right into the kitchen from in front of the cases, and it was being kept super clean.

Not only the shop but also the coffee-making area was fully visible. The little decor pieces were so cute and pretty that it was fun just looking around! Even the number tickets they hand out when it gets busy are adorable~

They even had the butter used for baking displayed above the cases. Do you know how delicious this Lescure Charentes-Poitou AOP butter is~? It's such a premium, expensive butter, so if they use this, you can just trust and eat!! Now I see why people call this a famous bakery in Unjeong, Paju~!
What drinks and breads are on the menu?

Boulangerie Tan's drink menu is simple and neat! It felt like the lineup was made up only of drinks that pair well with bread, and I loved that Americanos are in the ₩3,000 range and every drink is under ₩5,000!

There was such a wide variety of bread. The simple salt bread lineup still had butter, garlic, glutinous-rice-cake, and potato flavors left, while the financiers had already sold out early, probably because they're so popular!

For straightforward breads, there were chocolate baguettes, kabocha squash cream cheese ciabatta, French baguettes, pain au chocolat, croissants, brioche morning rolls, and more. Some breads were available for tasting, too!

Next comes the sweet-bread lineup~ The cornet pies that look like an instant sugar boost came in vanilla, hazelnut chocolate, super-sweet corn, and pistachio flavors, plus there were fig chiffon cake and tiramisu~~!

Finally, for sandwiches perfect for brunch, there were Litoca Mortadella, chipotle pasty pie, sun-dried tomato sandwich, carrot-rape chicken sandwich, jambon-beurre, fig cream cheese baguette, apple brie sandwich, and more!
Trying the chocolate baguette, sandwich, and fig baguette

After much deliberation, my picks were three items: the chocolate baguette, fig cream cheese baguette, and apple brie sandwich! They wrapped them so prettily too, which made me happy~
First, the chocolate baguette was the bread I fell for after tasting it!! The outside is crisp, while the moist baguette interior is packed with chocolate and nuts!

I thought it would be super sweet because it had chocolate in it, but it had just the right sweetness, with crunchy nuts giving you no chance to get bored~! It has a simple character along with chocolate flavor, so it pairs wonderfully with coffee!

Next, the apple brie sandwich is also great as a meal replacement! Inside the chewy ciabatta are apple, ham, and arugula~~!!
The presentation is so pretty that it gets an immediate pass from me~ The sweet, crisp apple, ham, and tasty sauce made a really lovely combination, and one alone is filling enough to have instead of breakfast or lunch.

Lastly, the fig cream cheese baguette~~ It's fig season right now, so this was a bread I absolutely had to eat—I picked it up right away~!
The fig cream cheese baguette had a seriously generous amount of cream cheese inside, and big pieces of fig on top, so it was totally my kind of thing!! It was the most delicious of the three items!!!

Boulangerie Tan is packed with special items that are not easy to find elsewhere!! If you're looking for a great bakery in Unjeong, Paju, I definitely recommend stopping by at least once!
