Today I put together a cute lettering cake for a close friend's birthday! Lettering cakes just feel cuter and more special than regular cakes, right? (Also great for showing off haha) So I went looking for a good lettering cake spot in Jamsil, Songpa, and found exactly the place I wanted! Let me introduce it~~

This is Circus Rabbit, a great lettering cake spot in Jamsil, Songpa. It's at B2-10, basement level 1, Jangmi Jonghap B Sangga, 112 Olympic-ro 35-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

I liked that Circus Rabbit is easy to order from through Naver or KakaoTalk, and especially that all the cake designs are posted on their KakaoTalk channel and Naver page like in the photo, so picking a design was really convenient! While browsing through the designs, the Harry Potter one was so cute I picked it right away. The price is ₩21,000! If you like Harry Potter, it's hard to just scroll past this one~~ heehee.

How to get to Circus Rabbit in Songpa

Since Circus Rabbit is in the basement of Jangmi Jonghap Sangga and this was my first time visiting, I was a little worried it might be hard to find, but they gave detailed guidance before pickup and had also laid out directions carefully in a blog post, which I appreciated.

On pickup day I followed the blog post directions and thankfully got there without much trouble! Arrived at the great lettering cake spot in Jamsil, Songpa, no problem!!

Self-service cake pickup after 4 PM

Since I had to pick up the cake after work, I booked unmanned pickup this time! Circus Rabbit switches to unmanned pickup after 4 PM.

When I arrived at the pickup spot, the cakes were neatly stored in a fridge, and mine was clearly labeled with my name so I could find it right away! You just get a lock number and open it up. Security-wise, pretty solid~~~

I also liked that with unmanned pickup, I wasn't tied to a specific time and could comfortably grab it after work!! Being able to pick it up even late at night... is such a huge plus.

And the packaging was tied up prettily with a ribbon, so I felt good just carrying it out 🎀 Now let me show you the actual cake!

What the Harry Potter lettering cake looks like in person

Ta-da! 🎂 It was even cuter in person than I expected 🥹💗 The Harry Potter-style design was adorable and the colors were really pretty too!

The color palette matched the fall mood perfectly right now, so it photographed really nicely too! Flavor matters for a birthday cake, but on a special day, design matters just as much — one cute cake alone really lifts the birthday mood haha.

They also included a cute little candle, which was perfect for the birthday celebration 🕯️ We celebrated as much as we wanted at an outdoor pojangmacha (street tent bar). The cake was pretty and unusual so the reactions were amazing haha.

How the Oreo lunchbox cake tasted

The cake size was exactly lunchbox-cake sized, so it wasn't overwhelming at all~~ (whole cakes are available too!!) You could also choose the flavor, and I went with Oreo!

It was a milk cream base, so it tasted nutty and sweet, and with Oreo pieces inside the texture when biting in was great too! Honestly tasted really good...

Honestly I thought you order handmade cakes mainly for the looks~~ but after tasting it haha, it was more delicious and substantial than expected, so I was fully satisfied — a truly great lettering cake spot in Jamsil, Songpa!!!

Especially since the Oreo wasn't just finely crushed but had some whole pieces mixed in, that classic crunchy Oreo texture really came through!! The flavor felt... premium!! The quality was really good too.. 🤤

It was sweet enough to enjoy as a dessert on its own, but personally I found it surprisingly good as a drinking snack too lol!! (We had the birthday celebration at a bar haha) If you like sweet things, you'll probably enjoy this! Recommending it as a subtly delicious drinking snack, lol.

More than anything, seeing how happy the person receiving the cake was made me happy too 🥰 Great for showing off a little haha! A congratulatory cake with someone's actual name on it is just so meaningful!!!
