Hi, this is MEMO. I was craving raw shrimp, so I went to Wareureu Mansion, a Korean bar in Bangi-dong!

It's a moody bar that's great for a date. The food was delicious too — let me introduce the super fresh, great-textured raw shrimp plus the fire noodles + yukhoe combo.

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a Bangi-dong bar with mood lighting, a projector, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Maybe because the space is so big, even the window seat had no cooking smells and stayed pleasant.

The interior here is honestly done so well — pretty and stylish.

Every kind of pretty lighting you could want is here. There's that movie-theater feel from the projector, and the floor-to-ceiling windows let you watch the drizzle outside.

Maybe because the place is big, sitting by the window meant no unpleasant cooking smells at all — clean enough that it'd work for a date, too.

Same-day Sinan raw shrimp sashimi, 35,900 won: the autumn shrimp pick

The same-day Sinan raw shrimp sashimi is ₩35,900. Fall is shrimp season! The savory shrimp flavor paired with the sauces is the highlight.

The shrimp were really plump and had such good texture.

There are three sauces: fire noodle mayo, lemon soy sauce, and chojang (vinegared chili paste). The chojang here has a unique taste — a really refined flavor!

Cooked shrimp is chewier, with a bit more bite, but eating it raw gave a whole different texture that was really satisfying. Shrimp needs to be extra fresh to eat raw, and this same-day Sinan shrimp really delivered. (I loved it ❤️)

The shrimp heads arrive deep-fried

Eating only raw food can get tiring, and they clearly knew that — the shrimp heads come fried. Such thoughtful effort.

Eating something cold and something hot together worked really well — kind of like freshly fried shrimp chips!!!!

Yukhoe with fire noodles in onion wraps, 26,900 won

The yukhoe (raw beef tartare) fire noodle onion wrap is ₩26,900. Premium-grade yukhoe with spicy fire noodles is a can't-miss combo, served with fried kim (seaweed) chips and de-spiced onion.

The second thing we ordered was the yukhoe fire noodles. I'm more of a meat person than a seafood person, so I figured I had to order meat too!

This was my first time having yukhoe with fire noodles, and oh — the combo is just right... I'm planning to make this at home too!

The fire noodles come a little clumped, but since there's no broth, just loosening them with your chopsticks fixes it completely.

Cooked well without going mushy. Apparently they de-spice the onion by hand (just learned that from the Naver description)... but my mouth was already on fire from the noodles so I skipped it, haha. (Writing this review is making me drool.) My companion ate it crunching away like an apple, so I guess it's not spicy for everyone.

The white kimchi that came with the shrimp order was genuinely delicious. Definitely wrap it up like this and eat it. It really satisfies your appetite... that full, happy feeling in your mouth. That kind of thing.

Happy hour 4pm–7pm: beer for 100 won

I got the beer through a review event :) My favorite, Hanmaek draft beer! Hanmaek really does draft beer well. I've decided this is my go-to Jamsil spot for daytime drinking. Cool weather, perfect for a daytime beer.

The free side dish is macaroni salad

The basic side dish is a soft macaroni salad with egg and potato. Pairing spicy food with a macaroni side dish? Such a good match~ I know it's fattening but it's delicious, so I had it twice!

The menu, and why it works as a second-round bar near Jamsil

Since it was my first time at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, the variety made it hard to choose. Ordering the best-menu items turned out just right — the food here was the tastiest among Bangi-dong bars!!!

I thought this place absolutely deserves to be your first stop, but with fruit plates, choco shell ice cream, and popcorn chicken mozzarella cheese sticks — all kinds of finger-food snacks — it's also the spot if you're looking for a second-round Jamsil bar.

Especially if you had a meal on a date and liked it enough to go for round two? This is the place, no question. You know that magic where a pretty space makes you look pretty too.
