Ramen after a Ttareungyi bike ride in Eunpyeong, Seoul: Oreno Ramen

The weather has been such a blessing lately!!🤍 Days like this you just have to go out!! I rented a Ttareungyi bike and rode along Bulgwangcheon stream, then stopped by Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong for some delicious ramen~~😇

I've been obsessed with the drama Four Hands lately! Actor Lee Jun-young's character loves ramen in it, so I got a craving for ramen too haha

Where is Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, and what are the hours?

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is at 366 Bulgwangcheon-gil, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, right along Bulgwangcheon stream, so it's perfect after a walk by the water ‼️ Open daily 11:00–20:30, with a break time from 14:30–17:00 and last order at 20:00. Oreno Ramen is already well known as an Eunpyeong-gu favorite, so here's my review~ haha

There's a waiting area like the one below!! You can sit and look out at Bulgwangcheon while you wait~~

Oreno Ramen already has multiple branches — Insadong, Hapjeong, Gangnam, Lotte World Mall in Songpa, and more ,, no need to fly to Japan for ramen anymore!!

Oreno Ramen menu and the price of karai paitan

Oreno Ramen's menu is super simple, just two options — tori paitan ramen and karai paitan ramen — and karai paitan is ₩13,000. Oreno Ramen is the first ramen restaurant in Korea to be listed by Michelin!!!!!🤍 A Michelin-listed spot, my expectations were so high!!

True to being a great restaurant, Oreno Ramen's menu is super simple~~

They also have bottled beer and highballs!! Plus you can add chashu or a soft-boiled egg as extras

We both love spicy broth so we ordered the karai paitan~!😌 Plus a savory soft-boiled egg add-on!!!

Inside Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong and how the free refills work

The inside of Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is super clean, with both bar seats and table seats, so eating alone doesn't feel awkward at all.

The water was cold and tasty too~~🩶🩶 Everyone was so kind and never made you feel bad about refills

✔️The great thing about Oreno Ramen is you can get free refills on noodles (half/full portion), rice, and soup, so just ask anytime, no pressure haha

They even thoughtfully provide hair ties!!!

They serve the zero-sugar cola in an ice cup, so nice touch, so refreshing to drink!!

How does karai paitan taste with two soft-boiled eggs?

Finally, our ramen arrived~~🍜🍜 Karai paitan ramen. Such a rich, savory chicken broth ramen, so good!!!〰️

With the egg add-on, we got two soft-boiled eggs in the bowl~~~!! Highly recommend adding the soft-boiled egg~~~

They'll bring spicy kimchi if you ask, and it pairs so well with the ramen!💛 Not spicy at all, just crunchy!

At first the broth is white, but once you mix it well it turns into a spicy red broth~~!! The broth is so rich and delicious!! I wanted to mix in some rice but I was already too full to add it ㅜㅜ There's also plenty of tender chicken in there😙

The noodles were so good I would've asked for a refill if I weren't so full! Or mixed in some rice haha My favorite kind of thin Japanese-style noodle!〰️🍜🍜

The chicken was tender and there were plenty of mushrooms too!🥰 Protein loaded!

Ah, even writing this post makes me want to eat the karai paitan ramen again!!😙🍜

So glad I added the soft-boiled egg!!!🤍 The yolk was so savory and paired perfectly with the ramen broth haha Today I had the spicy karai paitan, but next time I have to try the tori paitan for that rich broth flavor!!!
