Eunam Station ramen restaurant with a lime highball: Oreno Ramen

In short

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a chicken-broth ramen restaurant beside the Bulgwangcheon stream in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, a 3–4 minute walk from Exit 2 of Eunam Station. A lime highball cleared the palate before the signature tori paitan (13,000 won) and the spicy karai paitan arrived, their white and red broths appearing under a layer of foam, both as rich as long-simmered ox-bone stock. If you love a heavy broth, order the soft-boiled egg at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong right from the start.

First shot on arrival at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong

I love a deep, rich soup that really hits the spot, so I'm always hunting for famous broth places in my daily life! This time I was craving a thick, savory ramen broth that clings to your mouth, so I finally made the trip to Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, a well-known Eunpyeong-gu spot I'd wanted to visit for ages 🤤

How to get to Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong from Eunam Station Exit 2

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong sits at 366 Bulgwangcheon-gil, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, right beside Bulgwangcheon stream. Come out of Exit 2 at Eunam Station on Line 6 and walk down slowly — you'll reach the stream. Cross that refreshing, breezy Bulgwangcheon and not long after, you'll spot the restaurant right away 🚶‍♀️✨

Access from the subway station was better than expected — easy enough that even someone with no sense of direction could find it in one go, which put me in a good mood before I even arrived!

Is Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong grease-free enough to bring kids?

The first thing I noticed at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong was the overwhelming cleanliness of the place! Japanese-style ramen shops that use a lot of oil usually have tables and floors that get slick and sticky from all that grease, right? But at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, the tabletops and floors were spotless and gleaming, not a speck of dust in sight ✨ The hygiene was so perfectly maintained that I became convinced I could bring my kids here for a meal without any worries next time!

The lime highball to drink before the ramen

After getting seated and ordering our ramen, I also ordered a highball to cool my throat 🍹 As soon as it arrived, I picked up the glass and took a sip — a tangy lime was floating inside, and it looked so refreshing right from the start!

The moment I took a sip, a bright lime aroma spread through my mouth along with the crisp fizz, and all my everyday thirst just melted away, haha. Drinking it before the rich ramen broth cleared and refreshed my palate, so I thought it paired really well with the ramen!

Tori paitan vs karai paitan: white and red broth under the foam

After a while, the main dishes I'd been waiting for finally arrived — tori paitan and karai paitan ramen, served together! When they first landed on the table, both bowls were topped with a fine, fluffy foam, so at first glance the two ramens looked identical 😳 After admiring the unusual, fascinating visual for a moment, I picked up my spoon and gently pushed the foam aside. Underneath, the white broth and the fiery-looking red broth finally revealed themselves!

The signature menu item I ordered myself, tori paitan, grabbed my attention with its visuals alone! On top of the neatly arranged ramen sat beautifully placed, light chicken toppings that made my mouth water before I'd even taken a bite 🍗✨

How the tori paitan broth and toppings taste

I took a big first spoonful of the tori paitan broth, and the deep flavor of a long-simmered, ox-bone-style stock landed heavily on my tongue! The chewy, satisfying mushrooms and the chicken breast topping — tender, melting in the mouth with no dryness at all — came together perfectly. On top of that, there was a soft-boiled egg with a runny yolk, so I ended up thoroughly enjoying the entire bowl!

The soup itself was so rich and remarkably savory that I thought this ramen could easily substitute for hot samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) on the upcoming dog days of summer as a body-boosting meal 👍 If you're a broth lover like me, this level of savory soup is the kind that wins everyone over without exception!

Ordering tip: add the soft-boiled egg from the start

Let me share one small but reliable tip for making the most of Oreno Ramen! It's the soft-boiled egg (ajitama) that comes included as standard — the richness and seasoning on that egg is genuinely artful 🥚🤍 You get one included by default, but after one bite you'll definitely want another, so I strongly recommend adding an extra soft-boiled egg when you first order!

How the free noodle, rice and broth refills work

Also, if you order one menu item per person for your group, they give you free noodle, rice, and refill broth — which felt like such a great deal from a customer's perspective 👏 Noodle lovers can add noodles for a hearty meal, and broth lovers can refill the soup and drink as much as they like!

For those who want to finish off with rice mixed into the rich broth at the end, this generous service structure satisfies everyone! Looking at the menu, there aren't a lot of miscellaneous side dishes — it's focused squarely on the ramen menu, which I found impressive, as it shows all the effort goes into perfecting each bowl. Whenever I crave a rich, savory broth that really hits the spot, this is a real ramen spot I'd come back to without hesitation 🍜🔥
