Eunpyeong ramen restaurant where one tori paitan bowl feeds two: Oreno

I was looking for good ramen in Eunpyeong and ended up at Oreno Ramen 🍜 I usually love ramen, so I went in with high expectations this time too.

We ordered the tori paitan. At first we only planned on one bowl. But as we ate, our minds changed. We ended up adding extra noodles. And then we added extra broth on top of that. That's how good the broth and noodles were.

What does the tori paitan broth at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong taste like?

The tori paitan at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is defined by its chicken-based broth. The first spoonful already made an impression.

It felt smooth and rich, but not too heavy. It was the kind of flavor that kept pulling my spoon back in. Broth really matters in ramen, right? With tori paitan, I kept drinking the broth even after finishing the noodles. Eating the noodles and broth together brought out an even nuttier flavor. The warm broth and noodles paired really well together.

The charm of tori paitan really is in the broth. It has that deep flavor unique to chicken broth. It felt smooth in the mouth.

At first I only had a spoonful or two just to taste it. But at some point I realized I was just continuously drinking the broth 😂

Sometimes with ramen you just rush through the noodles. But this time was different. I ate noodles, then broth, then noodles again. The broth itself was so good that I enjoyed it all the way to the end.

Why the extra noodles were worth ordering

At first I thought one bowl would be enough. But it was so delicious that I kept slurping it up without thinking, hahaha.

Before I knew it, I had finished the whole bowl and the noodles were gone in no time 😂 I don't know why good food disappears so fast 😂 I felt a little disappointed.

But it didn't end there. I immediately ordered extra noodles. Honestly, I hadn't planned on adding noodles at first — I thought one bowl would be plenty. But the tori paitan was too good. I kept thinking about the broth and wanted a bit more noodles too.

It would have been nice to stop there, but we even added extra broth. Once we added the extra noodles, we needed a bit more broth too. So we ordered a broth refill as well.

The tori paitan's broth was so good that adding more of it was a great move. With extra noodles and extra broth, I could enjoy the ramen much more leisurely than at first.

Usually with ramen, you end up leaving a lot of broth behind. But this time was different. The broth was so good that leaving any behind felt like a waste right up to the end. Thanks to the extra noodles and broth, I felt like I'd really eaten properly.

Finishing it off by mixing rice into the last of the broth left me incredibly full. Ordering just one bowl of ramen but ending up eating almost two bowls' worth gave me huge satisfaction.

This time, eating the tori paitan let me really enjoy the broth to the fullest. I finished the noodles but still wanted more, so I added extra noodles. On top of that, I added extra broth too — so you can imagine how much I enjoyed it. What started as one bowl of ramen turned into a meal with add-on after add-on.

If I come back again, I think I'd order the tori paitan just like this time.
