Why the soufflé pancakes take a 20–30 minute wait

At Andamiro Pancake, the pancakes are cooked to order, so they take about 20–30 minutes. If you spend the wait taking pretty photos around the pretty café, though, it really does come out quickly 🪽

Right as I turned away from placing my order, I caught sight of the pancakes being cooked! With the owner's permission, I snapped a photo right away. Watching the fluffy, cloud-like pancake get baked a bit, then flipped and covered to finish cooking with trapped heat... soufflé pancakes being slow-cooked like this is genuinely charming. Just watching this made me want to eat it immediately 🥹

Even shot from far away it looks so pretty, and I imagined that setting the soufflé pancake and coffee on this lovely table would make for a gorgeous photo!✨

We picked the pretty seat by the wall — the vase and dried flowers sitting on the table were so tastefully pretty too!

Ordering the crème brûlée soufflé, vanilla bean latte and iced americano

I ordered the crème brûlée soufflé, vanilla bean latte, and iced americano!! Their two signature soufflés are the Andamiro and the crème brûlée — I went back and forth before finally settling on the crème brûlée soufflé 🤧

I usually go for a vanilla latte when I drink coffee, and the vanilla bean latte here was so good! The iced americano was nutty with just the right amount of acidity too — perfect.

How does the crème brûlée soufflé pancake taste?

Here's the crème brûlée pancake. I love crème brûlée so much, and crème brûlée on top of a soufflé pancake?! Just looking at it — the dripping cream looked slightly thick and rich, and I got the feeling it would be perfectly sweet.

Crème brûlée has to be tapped on top to really taste right... Before taking a bite I took all kinds of photos from different angles, and even a light tap or shake made it wobble so cutely.

The sweet custard cream and the torched, dalgona-flavored crème brûlée top make this such an irresistible pancake.

I cut it in half and got to see the delicious cross-section! Scooping up a generous bite of cream, it melted away in my mouth with no eggy smell at all, and it paired so beautifully with the homemade custard cream. That crackly bite of crème brûlée was so good too!

Watching my friend and me forking away so intently, I realized something...

"Ah, this really is a legit soufflé pancake spot."

...haha. We both love dessert so much, and when we go quiet and just keep eating like this, that's the highest praise there is...
