Cheonan budae-jjigae restaurant where kids filled up on bean sprouts
In short
Cheongwon Restaurant: Cooking Budae-jjigae, Cheonan Dujeong Main Branch is a budae-jjigae (army stew) specialist on Dujeongsangga 4-gil in Dujeong-dong, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan. The order was the Cheongwon budae-jjigae for two at 24,000 won, made with sliced beef brisket and cheongyang chili, plus a 9,000 won pork cutlet, but the kids ate so much of the bean sprout banchan that they finished the meal on rice and side dishes alone. With a self-serve bar for rice and ramyeon noodles and a baby chair on hand, Cheongwon Restaurant made for a relaxed family meal.

The restaurant isn't huge, but it has quite a lot of seats. It looked like it could seat around 11-12 parties at once!

Cheongwon Restaurant: Cooking Budae-jjigae uses 1++ grade Korean beef mince in its budae-jjigae. On top of that, the green onion and onion are also domestic !! 💕

Songtan budae-jjigae vs Cheongwon budae-jjigae: what's the difference?
There are two versions of their main menu, budae-jjigae: the basic Songtan budae-jjigae made with 1++ Korean beef mince, and the Cheongwon budae-jjigae, which uses that same Songtan base but adds beef brisket and cheongyang chili for a spicier kick.

How to get the most out of Cheongwon's budae-jjigae
- Order whichever budae-jjigae suits your taste
- Don't lift the lid until staff come and stir the stew
- Taste the broth first, then add more stock to your liking
- Use the self-serve bar for rice, ramyeon sari, and banchan (call staff for the fish cake side!!)
- Join the review event and enjoy your budae-jjigae ✨
Keep these tips in mind and enjoy your meal 💕

Unlimited rice and ramyeon noodles: using the self-serve corner
The self-serve corner has extra banchan, ramyeon sari, and rice ready to go! You can take as much ramyeon sari and rice as you want, and if you want to add actual Shin Ramyeon instead, it's on the menu so you can order it separately!🍜

Unlimited ramyeon sari refills are just the best ~ 🍜
The menu, the banchan and kids' tableware

This is Cheongwon Restaurant's menu. Besides the two types of budae-jjigae, there's also pork cutlet that's easy for kids to eat, so it's great to visit with children—plus various add-ons like beef brisket and glass noodles!

These are the basic banchan they set out and the kids' tableware :) At first, the staff serve the rice at a good portion for you. If you need more later, head to the self-serve corner!
Oh, and the kids ate the side dishes so well!! Especially the bean sprouts—both of them just kept eating haha. I was planning to feed them pork cutlet as their meal, but they filled up on just the side dishes and rice hahaha 🤧
Cheongwon budae-jjigae for two, 24,000 won, plus a 9,000 won pork cutlet
Cheongwon budae-jjigae for two ₩24,000, pork cutlet ₩9,000. This is what we ordered!

The Cheongwon budae-jjigae for two we ordered has arrived! Wow, the visual alone was amazing— I love beef brisket so much that I ordered the spicier Cheongwon budae-jjigae with brisket in it, and I'm so satisfied! Looking at this visual .. 👍🏻

If you need more broth, just use the stock in this kettle

If you wait without lifting the lid until a staff member comes and stirs it for you, the moment they mix it up deliciously in front of you, your mouth starts watering instantly... 🤧
This budae-jjigae is packed with ingredients, and especially loaded with ham!!! With ham and beef brisket both in there, the broth tastes richer and even more delicious!!

Look at this..!! It's packed so full— mixed with white rice it was so delicious ㅠㅠ💗 The rice just kept going down effortlessly.. finished it in no time!!!
Adding the ramyeon sari is a must too. Adding it into the rich budae-jjigae broth, it was pure comfort food... 👍🏻

Lastly, there's a Naver receipt review event that gets you a free egg roll, so join in and enjoy your egg roll 🍳 A restaurant where the budae-jjigae is so delicious, Cheongwon Restaurant: Cooking Budae-jjigae, Cheonan Dujeong Main Branch! I highly recommend it 💕
