Cheonan café for lunchtime iced americano and 5 baked treats: Brewers
In short
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a baked-goods café in the Meokgeori 9-gil alley in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan. Over a lunch break, an iced americano came with salty caramel, salted chocolate and apple Earl Grey financiers plus almond chocolate and pecan espresso madeleines, each in the 3,000-won range, so picking up several was easy. Brewers Coffee is the right stop for tasting a wide range of baked treats, and drivers should check the public parking lot location before setting off.

Ever gone out for just a cup of coffee and come home with an armful of baked goods? That was me today haha.
I had an errand in Sinbu-dong, so I finally stopped by Brewers Coffee, a place I'd had my eye on for a while. Every time I passed it I'd think "I really need to go there properly next time," and this was the day I actually followed through haha.

Walking into Brewers Coffee: the space at lunchtime
The exterior of Brewers Coffee already looks serious. The whole building is painted matte dark gray, so it stands out immediately along the Meokgeori 9-gil alley. A "COFFEE →" sign hangs by the entrance, and people were sitting here and there under the terrace awning.

Step inside and the mood shifts completely. White brick walls are covered in vintage frames, and a huge 'B' flag hangs right in the middle.

Overall it's a black-and-white tone, but plants and wood shelving keep it from feeling cold — it actually feels warm.

Seating is fairly spacious, so even at lunchtime it wasn't hard to find a spot. The row of grinders lined up behind the counter made it clear they're serious about coffee haha.
The drink first: iced americano at Brewers Coffee

I started with an iced americano. When eating baked goods, a bitter americano suits better than a sweet drink. The Brewers Coffee cup is matte black with the BC logo, and just seeing it already put me in a good mood haha.
The coffee itself wasn't too acidic — clean and deep, in a way that didn't compete with the baked goods.
Three financiers to try at Brewers Coffee
This is really where the trouble started. The moment I stood in front of the Brewers Coffee display case, my "I'll only buy two" resolution completely fell apart.
Salty caramel financier
The surface is baked to a nice golden brown, and you can see a hint of caramel color seeping through the cross-section.

The first bite brings caramel sweetness, followed by a salty note — perfect for anyone who loves the sweet-and-salty combo. A sip of americano resets the sweetness perfectly, and I kept reaching for more.
Salted chocolate financier

Boom — this one looks completely different from the start. The surface is a glossy deep chocolate color with visible flecks of salt studded across it.
Like the salty caramel, this is also a sweet-and-salty type, but here the heavy chocolate flavor hits first, so preferences may split depending on taste. I like chocolate, so this one pulled me in more haha.
Apple Earl Grey financier

This was the most unusual choice of the day. It looks like an ordinary financier on the outside, but you taste a sweet apple flavor followed by the subtle scent of Earl Grey tea.
It's a totally different mood from the chocolate and caramel ones before it, so it's perfect for resetting your palate midway through. If you don't mind the tea aroma, I highly recommend it.
Two madeleines: almond chocolate and pecan espresso
Almond chocolate madeleine

Ta-da — the madeleines make their appearance. It's fully coated in dark chocolate with almond pieces scattered all over, so it looks quite substantial. One bite brings the bittersweetness of chocolate together with the nuttiness of almonds, but it's lighter to eat than it looks. A perfect size to enjoy one at a time alongside a cup of coffee.
Pecan espresso madeleine

The moment I saw the name, I had to grab this one. Pecan plus espresso — come on haha. The surface is covered in bumpy pecan pieces, and the inside has espresso mixed in, giving off a subtle coffee aroma.
If the almond chocolate madeleine is the sweet one, this is the nutty, slightly bitter, grown-up flavor. I took both to go and alternated between them, and since the flavors didn't overlap, I never got tired of them and finished them off.
Is Brewers Coffee worth it? Check parking first
I wondered if there's another café in Cheonan with this much variety of baked goods. Prices are also around ₩3,000-something each, so picking a few doesn't feel like a big burden.
One thing to check before you arrive: Brewers Coffee doesn't have its own parking, so you need to use a separate public parking lot. If you're driving, I'd recommend checking the location beforehand.
There's a reason this place keeps coming up whenever people ask for Cheonan café recommendations. If you're looking for a café in Sinbu-dong, especially if you love baked goods, give Brewers Coffee a try. Next time I'm thinking of trying the crème brûlée flan and the canelé haha.
