If you're looking for somewhere to eat meat near Gangnam Station, you've got way too many options, which honestly makes it harder to decide where to go. This time I visited Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch, on Gangnam-daero 98-gil.
From outside, the big "Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip" sign caught my eye right away, and stepping inside I found the classic comfortable Korean BBQ atmosphere, with tables spaced far enough apart that it didn't feel cramped.

What stuck with me most was that this wasn't just meat served plain — there was a whole tray of different accompaniments to mix and match to your own taste.
Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch / 20 Gangnam-daero 98-gil, ground floor

Where is Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch, and is it easy to find?
Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch is at 20 Gangnam-daero 98-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, ground floor. As you can see in the photos, the sign at the entrance is set up pretty large, so once you're in the neighborhood the restaurant isn't hard to spot.
In front of the entrance there were also several boards with menu photos, so I could get a rough idea of the style of BBQ place before even walking in. At restaurants you're trying for the first time, it can feel intimidating if you can't see the menu or prices at all, so it was nice that the meat menu was visible from outside here.
Inside Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip: atmosphere and seating
The first thing I noticed walking in was that classic Korean BBQ feel, but the interior was pretty neatly arranged too. Every table is set up for grilling meat, and yellow exhaust ducts hang down from the ceiling.
Brick-textured walls, wood-tone tables and black seating come together for a vibe that's comfortable for eating meat rather than overly flashy. There were also tables big enough for larger groups, which made me think this could work well for a Gangnam Station work dinner or a get-together with friends.

Prices by cut on the tablet ordering screen
Going through the tablet menu at the table
At the restaurant, you browse and order through a tablet screen. In the menu screen I photographed during my visit, Kim Daeri's Off-Work Set 1.1kg was ₩89,000, the tomahawk axe cut 850g was ₩73,000, and cheongyeop hangjeongsal (thousand-layer pork jowl) 200g was ₩27,900.
Kkotdeungsim gabrit (marbled rib-eye) 200g was ₩23,000, and aged whole pork belly and aged whole pork neck 200g were ₩18,900 each. Menu and prices may change after my visit, so checking the store's current menu board is the most accurate way to confirm.

How many cuts of pork does Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip serve?
Scrolling through the screen, there was quite a wide range of meat to choose from. The menu screen I photographed also showed kkodeulsal (chewy cut) 200g at ₩18,900, odok-odok oddol galbi (crunchy rib cartilage) 200g at ₩18,900, and crispy pork skin 150g at ₩9,000.
What stood out was that you could order everything from familiar cuts like pork belly and pork neck to specialty cuts you don't usually order. For anyone who prefers comparing several different cuts rather than sticking to just one, this kind of lineup really widens your options.
Set menus over 1kg for groups
When several people eat together at a Korean BBQ restaurant, it's common to look at the set menus first rather than ordering items one by one. The screen I photographed showed the Chairman's Company Dinner Set 1.35kg at ₩239,000, the Boss's Entertaining Set 2.0kg at ₩167,000, and Kim Chajang's Meat Bomb Set 1.5kg at ₩136,000.
Even the set names play up the "kkondae" (old-school boss) concept behind the restaurant's name, which made browsing the menu kind of fun. Rather than choosing based on price alone, it's worth comparing the included cuts, total weight and number of diners before deciding.
The banchan spread that fills the table before the meat arrives
Looking back at the photos, the basic table setting really stands out. On a large tray came kimchi, onion, garlic, wrap greens and various other accompaniments to eat alongside the meat.

Rather than dipping in just one sauce the whole time, I could keep switching combinations, which was nice for varying the flavor between bites of meat. If you love wrapping your meat, you can pile lettuce or perilla leaves with onion or other sides to build a bite exactly to your taste.

Wrapping pork belly in perilla leaf with onion and wasabi
Eating well-grilled meat plain is great, but you can't skip the wraps at a place like this. Like in the photo, I put a piece of meat on a perilla leaf, added a bit of onion and wasabi, and ended up with a pretty tasty-looking bite.
Getting the perilla aroma, the crunch of onion and the kick of wasabi together with the meat was more fun than eating the same way every time. Adding kimchi or other sides makes yet another combination, so it's worth experimenting with different mixes instead of settling on just one from the start.

Grilling the meat yourself at the table
Meat always gets more exciting the moment it starts browning on the grill. In the photos, I grilled meat together with onion right on the plate.
Eating the meat, then adding grilled onion, then going back to the wrap greens meant I could enjoy several different styles in one sitting.
I can't say for certain exactly which cut is shown from the photos alone, so I haven't named a specific menu item, but the meat on the grill and the table setting in the photos are exactly what I actually ate that day.

Is Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip good for a Gangnam Station work dinner?
Gangnam Station sees a lot of work dinners and get-togethers, so beyond just taste, restaurant size and menu variety matter too. When I visited Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch, there were several tables inside, and the ordering screen showed not just individual cuts but also sizable set menus.
That made it look convenient whether you're two or three people or a bigger group. That said, seat availability at busier times can vary for group visits or work dinners, so it's a good idea to check with the restaurant beforehand.
How much should you budget per person?
Based on the menu board I photographed during my visit, aged whole pork belly and aged whole pork neck were each listed at ₩18,900 for 200g. Kkodeulsal and odok-odok oddol galbi were also ₩18,900 for 200g each, kkotdeungsim gabrit was ₩23,000 for 200g, and cheongyeop hangjeongsal was ₩27,900 for 200g.
The pork skin menu was listed at ₩9,000 for 150g. Since prices vary by cut, first-time visitors might want to start with familiar cuts and then add specialty cuts they're curious about. These are the prices shown on the menu board I photographed at the time of my visit, so they could change afterward.
