What a Gangnam Station company dinner needs, and how Kkondae Kim Bujang scored

There are honestly a lot of hidden requirements when picking a company dinner spot near Gangnam Station. Room for a big group, good meat quality, and ideally a place where you're not stuck grilling the whole time yourself — that kind of thing!

Exterior of Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip near Gangnam Station

Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip, which I visited this time, ticked pretty much all of those boxes. Even from the outside it looked like a huge pork BBQ place near Gangnam Station.

Inside Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch: hall and private rooms

When I visited, several tables were already deep into their own company dinners with lots of office worker groups around. It felt spacious and upscale, and since this is exactly the kind of place I'd want to recommend to office workers hunting for a Gangnam Station BBQ dinner spot, I'll go into detail.

The interior was clean and on the upscale side, which suited a company dinner really well. It didn't feel like a loud, meat-only-and-done kind of place — more like somewhere you could actually sit down for a proper meal and gathering. There are also a few small private rooms, so if you want something more private, booking a room seems like a good idea!

It looked like good quality meat was being aged right there on site.

Menu and prices: 200g per serving

I liked that Kkondae Kim Bujang, a BBQ restaurant near Gangnam Station, serves a full 200g per portion.

For a celebration, having a nice glass of wine alongside seemed like a great idea.

What banchan comes with the meat

I ordered the meat and waited calmly at the table.

Table set with banchan side dishes

Whoa, what is this?! My eyes went wide at the banchan (side dishes)... total shock!

These side dishes were insane, seriously.

Savory squid muchim (spicy squid salad), sweet and tangy mukmuchim (acorn jelly salad).

Mushroom jeon (pan-fried mushroom).

There was also myeongnan-jeot (salted pollock roe) — a total rice thief! Absolutely top-tier as a side dish.

Staff-grilled aged pork belly, 200g for 18,900 won

First I ordered a serving of aged pork belly. 200g for ₩18,900.

What was super convenient here at Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip was that the staff grill everything for you! Literally everything!!!

If you've ever gone to a BBQ place with a group, you've probably had that experience where one person is stuck grilling the whole time and barely gets to eat. I'm usually the one grilling at these places, watching how done the meat is and making sure nothing burns, so I often couldn't focus on the conversation or the meal.

At Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip, since they grill it for you, it was genuinely so much easier. They grilled it really well, and I was truly grateful.

Oddol galbi (crunchy cartilage rib), 200g for 18,900 won

This is domestic pork cartilage rib coated in their special Kkondae sauce! Sweet and super crunchy in the mouth — oddol galbi that nails both flavor and texture.

Seasoned oddol galbi, 200g

Not having to keep checking the grilling timing and just focusing on eating perfectly cooked meat was so nice.

The oddol galbi has that exact sweet pork galbi flavor, and the texture was totally my style — I couldn't put my chopsticks down haha.

A second round of pork belly, cut nice and thick

We ordered an extra serving of pork belly.

Additional serving of aged pork belly

This one was also grilled by rotating staff members, and the meat disappeared fast once we ate it easily alongside the banchan. It was also great with onion, and with the minari (water dropwort) that comes with the mukmuchim or squid muchim.

I really felt the quality of the pork was excellent — especially the pork belly, which wasn't thin but nice and thick, so it had real bite when you chewed it. Anyone who's serious about meat will be satisfied! I'm picky about meat too, and this suited my taste.

Thickly grilled aged pork belly

Wrapped it up neatly in lettuce too.

The pork skin wasn't seasoned — it was original pork skin, letting you fully taste the savory richness of the skin and fat!

Unseasoned original pork skin

Can you see how thick and full of collagen it looks? This was also grilled perfectly without splattering or burning. Nice and plump, so good. It's also delicious dipped in soybean powder or curry powder.

We also got a refill of the pink sausage banchan, freshly grilled and warm, then grilled it once more on the charcoal until nicely crisp.

Is Kkondae Kim Bujang Gangnam Station good for a group dinner?

The staff took care of everything so attentively and were so friendly that using the place felt genuinely comfortable! If you're looking for a Gangnam Station BBQ dinner spot and care about meat quality, space, and comfortable staff-grilled service, this place should score highly.

What I liked most was being able to enjoy delicious pork comfortably without worrying about grilling it myself. For group gatherings, with its spacious layout, staff-grilled service so you don't have to worry about the meat, and solid meat quality, I recommend Kkondae Kim Bujang Gogi-jip Gangnam Station Branch.
