Today I went looking for a lunch spot near Myeongnyun Station and ended up at Moshi Moshi Sushi on the 8th floor of Dongnae Lotte Department Store. It's easy to park since it's inside the mall, and it's great for a simple lunch — even though there are plenty of sushi places along the streets nearby, Moshi Moshi always seems to be the most popular whenever I come.

You can order through the wall pad, but I also snapped a photo of the menu board out front :) The set menus are the most popular, and you can add extra à la carte sushi too.

Clean, upscale interior

The reason I recommend Moshi Moshi Dongnae Lotte as a lunch spot near Myeongnyun Station is that it's a place solo diners can visit without any pressure. From bar seats to simple 2-person tables to group seating for 6 or more, you never have to worry about seating and can enjoy sushi comfortably. There are also private, room-style seats in the back, so a lot of families in Dongnae come here with their kids too!

Here's what I ordered today. The Sushi Platter is the best-selling set, and there's an upgrade option at ordering called "the better version" haha, so cute... My husband immediately switched to the upgraded option.

I ordered the Sushi Platter because it's the best-selling menu, and it came out as a generously loaded tray — with the upgrade, the udon, salad, sesame-dressing tofu, tempura, and 8 pieces of sushi were all high quality, with nothing to skip. A great lunch.

The nutty tofu salad topped with sesame dressing, the regular salad, and the tempura — pumpkin, shrimp, and sweet potato — were sweet and crispy, so delicious. I didn't expect much since it came as a side, but the tempura quality was flawless +.+...!

There was also a great variety of sushi, and with every piece I ate, I couldn't help saying it just melts in your mouth. The raw fish sushi especially was so fresh, with that chewy texture too! If you're looking for a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station... I really recommend it🥹👍🏻

On top of that, the udon came in a bowl bigger than the mini udon you usually see in small broth bowls elsewhere, hot and generous, so it was filling enough.

With sushi and udon all on one tray, I'd recommend the Sushi Platter to anyone visiting Moshi Moshi Dongnae Lotte for the first time!

Soba Sushi Platter, 18,500 won, with icy cold soba

Soba Sushi Platter ₩18,500 Out front, the Soba Sushi Platter was listed as one of the top two recommended menus alongside the Udon Sushi Platter😊 Since the warm udon was over there(?), I decided to order the cold soba instead.

Dipping the noodles in the soba broth with floating shaved ice made for a cold, clean finish that paired really well with the sushi. Out of all the soba I've had... this might be the best one I've had haha. This is definitely a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station, but the cold soba is seriously amazing!!!!

Extra single sushi pieces: flounder, bigeye tuna, salmon belly and eel

The basic sushi was so good that we added a few extra à la carte pieces. My husband and I said to ourselves we'd come back here again whenever we're at Dongnae Lotte Cinema for sushi, and just kept eating happily haha.

The raw fish on top of the sushi was fresh and generously sized, and the first bite's texture matters most for sushi — Moshi Moshi Dongnae Lotte checked every box :) You almost have to wonder if this quality is really matched by this price..!! The flounder sushi, bigeye tuna sushi, salmon belly sushi, and eel sushi all just melt in your mouth🥺

I also tried the flying fish roe gunkan, packed full of roe, and the kani miso, a gunkan filled with crab guts — I think Moshi Moshi Dongnae Lotte might be the only sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station where you can enjoy such a wide variety of sushi like this!
