Have you ever gone out for sushi and found yourself checking the plate colors first? Red plate, must be expensive; black plate, how much is that one? Before you know it, you've skipped the thing you actually wanted and just grabbed the cheap plates instead.
I heard about Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch while looking for sushi spots in Pyeongtaek, so I went and checked it out. Long story short: my boyfriend and I cleared over 30 plates between the two of us 😁 Every plate is a flat ₩2,100, so even eating like that felt like an amazing deal — total satisfaction! But there are a few things worth knowing before you go, so let me write them all down carefully.

Where is Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, and where can you park?
Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch is a 7-8 minute walk from Pyeongtaek Station, right on Rodeo Street. Walk out of the station toward the street and the yellow sign is visible from far away, so it's easy to find. It sits right in the middle of the Rodeo strip, which makes it perfect for a meal followed by a stroll around the area.

There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot. There's one within a 5-minute walk, so parking isn't a hassle 👍
I never realized how relaxing it could be to not have to check plate colors.

Before going in, the standing sign outside caught my eye first. It said they only use large flounder (3kg or more) from Wando, and even lists the date it was prepared that day. When something is flat-rate, you'd assume they're cutting corners on ingredients somewhere, but Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch uses fresh ingredients and posts proof of it, which builds trust right away. 😊
What does this Pyeongtaek conveyor-belt sushi restaurant look like inside?

The inside of Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch is bigger than I expected. The conveyor belt loops around in a U-shape lined with 1-2 person counter seats, and further inside there are separate 3-4 person tables. If you come as a pair, you'll sit side by side at the counter, and plates keep passing right in front of your eyes, so you end up picking what to eat visually first 👀

There are also larger tables marked for group seating further inside. Separate 3-4 person tables make it comfortable for families too. There are two ways to order: just grab a plate off the belt, or use the QR code at your seat to order something specific.
What should you order at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch?

I was a little surprised looking at the menu. Salmon, fatty tuna belly, eel, wagyu, abalone, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), hand rolls, and gunkan (battleship rolls) are all lined up — and every single one is the same price.
- Every plate is a flat ₩2,100 — the price is the same no matter which plate you eat

Once you sit down, there's a variety of sauces at each seat. They're labeled for salmon, shrimp, sushi, and eel, so you never have to guess what goes with what. Warm soybean paste soup comes included. Taking a spoonful now and then made the meal a lot more filling 🔆
Red king shrimp sushi: why 30 plates went fast at one flat price

The thing I grabbed the most that day at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch was the red king shrimp sushi. Maybe because it's in season, the shrimp meat was huge, and the more you chewed, the more sweetness and umami came through. My boyfriend and I probably ate 6-7 plates of just this one. We'd finish a plate, order more through the QR code, then order more again 😁

In case you can't picture the size, I picked one up with chopsticks. Placed on top of the rice, it's big enough to spill over both sides. Honestly, the tastiest thing I ate at this Pyeongtaek sushi restaurant was this red shrimp sushi — huge in both flavor and size ❤

The eel sushi comes brushed with sauce and grilled, with the skin side glistening. Grabbing it while it's still warm makes it noticeably softer. Ordering it via QR code and getting it fresh out of the kitchen was definitely better than grabbing one that had already done a lap on the belt 👍

The negitoro (chopped fatty tuna) hand roll is another must. It's chopped tuna piled high with chopped scallions and wrapped in seaweed, and it's best eaten in one bite before the seaweed goes soft, so I ate it the moment it arrived.

From my favorite tuna sushi to grilled octopus sushi, there's usually a trade-off between low prices and menu variety — but out of everywhere I've been, this place genuinely had the widest selection, which made choosing half the fun 👍

Abalone and other grilled items are torched fresh to order, so you can enjoy them warm, and there are plenty of non-raw options too, like beef brisket or yukhoe, so even someone who isn't great with raw fish could come along and still enjoy the meal fully.
Drinks with dinner on Pyeongtaek's Rodeo Street

This sign made me do a double take.
- All alcoholic drinks ₩3,900
- Draft beer 400cc ₩2,100
With drink prices this low, it was perfect for the two of us to have a casual drink together 🍺
A plate of sushi and a glass of draft beer both cost 2,100 won

By the time we finished, we had two towers of plates. We didn't count, but we easily passed 30 plates. With a flat rate, the math is simple too — just count the plates, no need to run a calculator in your head the whole meal 😎
Hours, break time and waits before you visit Mikado Sushi
Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch is open daily from 11:30 to 21:30, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00. It's closed for Korean holidays (Chuseok eve and day). Keep in mind that if you push lunch late, the 3 to 5 pm break time might catch you off guard! We went in the evening and there was no wait, but the place was nearly full, which tells you it's popular. Last order is 9:30, so you can visit comfortably in the evening!
Who will enjoy Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch?
- Anyone who loves sushi but doesn't want to worry about plate prices
- Anyone looking for dinner and a date near Pyeongtaek Station
- Anyone who wants to pair their meal with a casual drink
I looked around at a lot of sushi places in Pyeongtaek, and honestly, at this price with this level of taste and quality, I'd give Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch a 200% return visit rating. It's also great for a walk around Rodeo Street afterward, making it a perfect date spot ❤
