Gojan-dong, Ansan café with a child: mont blanc, mango smoothie

In short

Flowerpot Cafe Gojan Branch is a large bakery café behind AW Convention in Gojan-dong, Ansan, Gyeonggi. After a kids' café session, the writer stopped by with her child for mont blanc, a brownie and mango Wakppu salt bread with mango and blueberry smoothies, and the wide spacing between tables kept it comfortable with a child along. Apart from the lack of a dedicated parking lot, Flowerpot Cafe is an easy place to pick out bread with a kid.

After playing hard at a kids' café, we wanted to cool off and refuel, so I went looking for a bakery café with lots of bread options — and found Flowerpot.

The store is spacious with plenty of room between seats, so it looked great for a cozy coffee with a friend or for a group visit too.

Where is Flowerpot Cafe Gojan Branch, what are the hours, and where do you park?

Flowerpot Cafe Gojan Branch is located in Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, and is open weekdays 10:00–21:45 and Sat–Sun 09:30–21:45. There's no dedicated parking lot, so I'd recommend the public lot in front of Daerim Plaza — it's under 5 minutes on foot to the café.

It's right behind AW Convention, so it's easy to find.

They're also currently selling bingsu (shaved ice dessert) — red bean bingsu set ₩14,000, injeolmi (sweet rice cake) bingsu set ₩15,000, mango bingsu set ₩15,000, each served as a set with an americano, which seems like a good order for a group visit.

How much bread is on the Gojan-dong bakery shelves?

Walking in, the first thing that caught my eye was a really huge bakery display case.

From salt bread and red bean bread to campagne, sandwiches, cakes, and egg tarts, the huge display had all kinds of breads ready, making it hard to choose,, but by the time I visited, a lot of the bread was already sold out. Since it's a well-known bakery spot in Ansan, it seems a lot of people had already been and gone.

Flowerpot Cafe apparently kneads and bakes its bread fresh every day. That makes for a much better quality than places that bring in mass-produced bread!!

There's a good variety of bingsu and drinks too. Besides coffee menu items like americano and café latte, there's fresh fruit juice, ades, smoothies, and handmade tea, so it's fine to come with people who don't drink coffee.

The three breads my child picked, and how they tasted

Here's what we picked out,, honestly I didn't get much say in it.

First up: the mont blanc

The layered texture is the charm here!! The nutty flavor of the butter spreads through your mouth, and it's not too sweet, so you keep eating without feeling guilty.

Second: the brownie

I expected a dense, chewy texture, but it was closer to a chocolate pound cake. The rich chocolate flavor with added sweetness wasn't heavy at all — if you like chocolate cake, this'll be a hit.

Mango Wakppu salt bread

The Wakppu salt bread I'd been seeing around on social media!! It's coated in chocolate, so there's fun in cracking the outer shell, and inside is mango and yogurt cream. When my kid picked this first,, I was thinking,, hmm,, you're eating a lot~ but when I actually tried it, this was the best one.

Mango smoothie and blueberry smoothie

Not too sweet, so it wasn't heavy, and the fine, smooth texture went down easily. The kids tried it and said it was so good, and emptied a glass in no time.

Why Flowerpot Cafe works with kids: packing station, lap blankets, wide tables

The tableware was also neatly arranged without stains, making it easy to use freely.

There's a self-service packing station set up so you can wrap up any leftover bread yourself, which made it easy to take the rest home.

Even in hot summer, the air conditioning kept the place cool and comfortable, and for anyone who feels a bit chilly, they even had lap blankets ready, which was nice.

What I especially liked was how spacious it is. The tables weren't close together, so there was no cramped feeling with the next table, and there were tables set up for groups too. Since AW Convention is right next door, it seems like a lot of wedding guests come by for coffee on ceremony days.

Final verdict on Flowerpot Cafe Gojan Branch

It's a shame there's no dedicated parking for the café, but using the nearby public lot wasn't a big hassle. Most of all, the wide table spacing makes it comfortable. If you want to enjoy nutty coffee and freshly baked bread at a leisurely pace, I'd recommend Flowerpot Cafe, a dessert spot in Gojan-dong.
