Is everyone enjoying autumn out there? The breeze and the weather have been so nice lately, sniff. I kept passing by the 25-Hour Plaza area in Gojan-dong recently and noticed how good the vibe looked at Degree Gojan Branch, so I finally went.

I'd been meaning to check it out because the clean white exterior looked so pretty every time I walked through the neighborhood, and I finally made it happen haha. It's big and sits right on the plaza, so it's easy to spot!!

Degree Gojan Branch was easy to find, sitting right on the main road of Gwangdeok-daero (right next to Domino's Pizza). The inside looked just as modern and neat as it did from outside, with black and wood tones blending together for an overall clean, quiet mood. The tables are low, so it felt more like a place to come chat than to camp out and work.

For drinks, watermelon juice!!! It's so famous for being delicious that I ordered it even though the weather's gotten a bit cool, and then went back and forth between the signature cream americano and cream latte before landing on the cream latte haha.

Fine-ice watermelon juice ttaengmoban at Degree Gojan Branch

The watermelon juice ttaengmoban costs ₩6,500 and is only sold through the end of September. The ttaengmoban we ordered looked refreshing and cool just from looking at it!! Honestly this is what I came for, so it's a bit of a shame I didn't have it during the height of summer's heat. But since they're selling it through the end of September, hurry and go!!

The fine slush-like ice crunched softly in my mouth, and sipping it between bites of bread felt like it cleaned my palate — the combo worked really well.

Signature cream latte, ₩6,500

Degree Gojan Branch's signature cream latte costs ₩6,500. The cream on top is genuinely so smooth and rich that the first sip felt heavy and satisfying in the best way!! It blended in with the coffee's bitterness without feeling separate, just sweet enough, and I enjoyed every sip.

Plate with cream croissant and pain au chocolat noisette

Cream croissant and pain au chocolat noisette at Degree Gojan

1. Cream croissant, ₩5,300

The cream croissant dusted with powdered sugar was also fully satisfying!! The outside shattered crisply along its layers while the inside was packed with soft cream — crispy outside, moist inside, exactly as it should be. The cream wasn't overly sweet or heavy, more light and nutty, so I finished it down to the last bite without getting tired of it. Not plain whipped cream but more like a milk cream? Great taste.

2. Pain au chocolat noisette, ₩6,300

The rectangular pain au chocolat noisette had crisp pastry layers all the way through on the outside, each one distinct. Splitting it in half revealed sweet, rich chocolate melting softly inside, and with every bite the buttery nuttiness spread together with the chocolate's sweetness — totally my type🥳

Is Degree Gojan Branch a good date café in Gojan-dong?

Overall the drinks felt upscale, and above all the pastry layers on the desserts were so well done that you could tell the bakery takes its craft seriously!! It's the perfect neighborhood spot to relax with good bread and a cup of coffee, so I think I'll be stopping by often haha. Great for a brunch morning or a date!
