What kind of Korean BBQ is Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom near Wangsimni Station?
This time I was invited to visit Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom near Wangsimni Station. It's a place in Haengdang-dong that grills tuppul (double-plus grade) hanwoo and fresh meat on a cauldron lid. I'd been here before with my dining buddy, so this was a long-overdue return visit.

Since customers pour in right around the end of the workday, they had the tables already set before we arrived.

The dining hall has plenty of seats, so there hardly seems to be any waiting.

The restaurant is divided into several sections, with more than 100 seats ready to go.

Ordered today: two servings of pork neck and one of pork skirt meat
We ordered pork neck 180g at ₩20,000 x2 and pork jowl 180g at ₩20,000. You pay for the meat, but the dessert side is entirely free and unlimited. There's always a reason why busy restaurants are busy.
My dining buddy said he'd be a little late. Yongin isn't exactly close by.

They set the table for us first.

They also brought out the wrap vegetables.

The big cauldron lid was gleaming with oil. That's the pork neck and pork jowl.

The staff grill the meat for you, so you can just sit back and wait. Since the cold noodles, noodle soup, and stew are all unlimited refills, it's a good idea to have a drink while you wait.

Three servings of pork is plenty for two people. And we've still got round two ahead of us.

My dining buddy had already ordered the spicy cold noodles.

With the cauldron lid nice and hot, the meat cooks quickly.

With sides this good, you have to have a drink. My dining buddy ordered a Maehwasu (plum wine).

The pork neck is thick, so it takes a bit of time to cook through.

The pork jowl was getting nicely grilled first.

Cold noodles, stew — I want them both, and my mind's getting complicated.

Waiting for the meat to cook always feels like it takes forever.

But there's always an end to it.

The pork jowl was fully cooked, so we could eat while waiting on the rest.

I added an order of water cold noodles.

The pork neck cooked up nicely too.

The table filled up fast.

My dining buddy's spicy cold noodles had already arrived.

This is my water cold noodles. They said the broth is made in-house. I also added a kimchi stew. Just don't go overboard ordering things just because they're free — order only as much as you can actually finish.

If you're making plans near Wangsimni Station, how about Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom? The meat is great, but the unlimited dessert refills make it a really good spot for a drink too. There's plenty of seating for group gatherings, and it's just as good for a family dinner. Definitely go for the unlimited dessert refills.
