What kind of café is PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch, near Mangwon Market?
PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch is a Mangwon-dong dessert café with really good pastries! It's set inside a converted house, and the retro brick exterior was really striking :) Inside is actually a sleek white-and-wood look — hip but warm, a place you want to linger haha.

PICT roasts and brews everything in-house. From roasting the green beans to extraction, the whole coffee process happens right at the shop, all focused on bringing out the coffee's true flavor! Not a huge café with a giant menu — a Mangwon-dong café that's genuinely serious about one good cup of coffee.

Inside PICT Roastery: a semi-basement with bright full-height windows
Walk in and you see an interior wrapped in huge windows!

It might technically be a semi-basement café, but the windows are so generous that the light keeps the whole ground-floor feel intact! No sense of being closed in — just bright, warm, and full of good atmosphere.

And the all-white tone with wood accents makes for a striking, sleek space :)

Outlets at every window seat and a table height made for reading
Window seats that are comfortable to settle into. Watching people pass by haha — a relaxed spot to enjoy a coffee.

Every window seat has an outlet, so they're great for working or focusing.

The chair height and table height matched perfectly, so it was comfortable to spend time there haha. Sometimes you run into cafés where the table is annoyingly lower than the chair, but PICT Roastery's setup is built just right for reading haha.

A place where you can taste quality in-house roasted coffee alongside their own signature desserts!

I also sat at a sunny window seat with great atmosphere haha.

What's on the menu at PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch?
The menu board. Not a huge café with an overwhelming menu — a Mangwon-dong café focused on brewing quality coffee, with coffee, desserts, and three teas on offer. The wifi and password are written on it too.

Matcha Basque cheesecake and iced americano at PICT Roastery
What I ordered was the matcha Basque cheesecake and an iced americano. The matcha Basque cheesecake's deep green color alone was gorgeous!!

A Basque cheesecake with a standout creamy texture, plus a cool glass of iced americano.

The color of the cheesecake is so pretty. The cake, with its deep matcha color, had a dense, moist texture.

It looked so much like matcha ice cream that the texture was almost surprising haha. Dense and moist in a way that fills your mouth with happiness — a menu item I really want to recommend.

Such a delicious matcha aroma, a cake packed with matcha flavor. One bite of this cake and you get a genuine little rush of happiness haha. The coffee was so good too — pairing the americano with the cake made for a truly healing spot!

Next visit to PICT Roastery: the French toast
The cake actually wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to eat without getting sick of it — not too sweet meant it felt light rather than heavy haha. When picking a dessert I'd gone back and forth between the matcha Basque cheesecake and the French toast, but the cheesecake was so good it made me even more curious about the French toast!! Next time I want to come back for the French toast haha. If you're looking for a Mangwon-dong café that serves great desserts, this is one I'd recommend — a place I want to visit again!!
