Wonz Coffee: a café stop after Children's Grand Park

We'd been to Children's Grand Park and were looking for somewhere to rest when we found ONES COFFEE, Wonz Coffee. After walking around the park with my kid for ages, I was craving something cold and something sweet, so we ducked into this café. And oh — this place felt different somehow. The taste and the vibe were both so good that I decided I'd absolutely have to come back whenever I'm in the area.

It's a coffee specialty shop where a national barista champion does the roasting and brewing personally, apparently with equipment worth ₩42.5 million including a Slayer and a Robur S. This place is serious about coffee. They say one regular has come back 305 times — how are you not going to lose out if you skip it? Pets are welcome too, so keep that in mind if you visit.

What is the atmosphere like inside Wonz Coffee?

The vibe at Wonz Coffee Children's Grand Park Main Branch is genuinely so hip. It's got that contemporary feel, and whoever did the interior clearly has real taste. Even the lighting fixtures are pretty enough to stop and stare at, and photos turned out great no matter where I shot from.

They also do gift sets, so I thought their drip coffee or baked goods would make great Chuseok gifts for friends and family. The box alone is gorgeous.

A space I'd visit every day if I lived closer. It's genuinely so pretty — I wish I had that kind of design sense.

How to order at Wonz Coffee and what is on the menu

You order via kiosk at Wonz Coffee, and there's a prepayment event that makes things cheaper — great news if you live nearby.

There's a wide range of coffee, and refills are available when you order americano or cold brew, so keep that in mind. The non-coffee drinks, ades, lattes and bingsu all looked delicious too.

Since a national barista champion roasts and brews here personally, there's a wide variety of beans and lots of choice, which I loved. I want to try the latte too, so I think I really do need to come back soon.

There's also a good range of baked goods — scones, cookies, butter rice cakes, and egg tarts.

Grand Park snowflake red bean bingsu / iced americano, nutty flavor

After coming back from Children's Grand Park it felt a little hot, so we ordered the snowflake bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and an iced americano. The presentation was so nice. They gave us a separate small plate too, served everything neatly, and it just put me in a good mood at this Seoul café near Children's Grand Park.

I tend to prefer nutty flavors, and they had a nuttier option, so I ordered that right away. The shot came separately and my kid poured it in. Looked delicious even before we tasted it. Drinking the ice-packed iced americano really cut through the heat, and it went well with the sweet bingsu too.

The Grand Park snowflake red bean bingsu really looks great. The injeolmi (sweet rice cake) powder, rice cake, and red beans all came out separately, so it was easy to add as much of each as I liked.

My kid loves rice cake so we added some, and the pieces turned out bigger than expected? Makes for an even more filling bowl, haha.

The red beans seemed to be made in-house too — not too sweet and really tasty, and the milk-flavored shaved ice was, of course, delicious, no need to even say it. On top of that, the injeolmi powder brought a nutty flavor that blended beautifully with the soft ice and red beans for a sweet finish. It's gotten cool enough now that this might've been the last bingsu of the season, but it was such a good way to enjoy one last summer bingsu.
