There's a great daechang and yangdaechang (grilled beef intestine) spot newly opened in Byeollae, Namyangju ~~ You can grill daechang, makchang, teukyang, yeomtong, hanwoo gopchang, spicy daechang, and galbisal over charcoal, so it's popular for family dinners and Byeollae work dinners too!!

Chodaechang Byeollae Branch
Where is Chodaechang Byeollae Branch, and is there parking?
This Namyangju Chodaechang is located in the restaurant alley right across from the Byeollae 3-danji apartments! There's a lot in front of the store with room for about 4 cars, and if it's full, they say you should use the paid Byeollae-dong roadside public parking lot No. 9 or the GS The Fresh mart parking lot nearby — good to keep in mind if you're visiting.

Opening hours and the weekday evening atmosphere
Chodaechang, this Byeollae gopchang spot, is open from 4 PM to midnight and closed every Monday, so keep that in mind if you're planning to visit haha.
I visited on a weekday before 6 PM ~~ It's famous as a Byeollae dinner spot so there were already plenty of groups having their work dinners, plus tables of families eating together ~~ the place was packed!!

Since it's such a popular yangdaechang spot in Byeollae, there were a lot of reserved tables ready ~~ I'd recommend booking through Naver Reservations before you go, haha.

What is in each mixed grill set, and why we chose Set B
Maybe they're called Chodaechang because they're 'consistently' great at daechang haha. You can order à la carte, or go for the mixed grill sets — S, A, and B — to try a bit of everything.
- Mixed Grill Set S: daechang, makchang, teukyang, yeomtong, gopchang
- Mixed Grill Set A: daechang, makchang, teukyang, yeomtong
- Mixed Grill Set B: daechang, makchang, teukyang
That's the breakdown!! Lucky Sunny isn't a big fan of yeomtong (beef heart), so I ordered Mixed Grill Set B ~~

The breadcrumb salad side dish, a first for us
The side dishes came out neat and simple!! For a yangdaechang place in Byeollae, the salad was surprisingly delicious. It had corn kernels in it, and it wasn't potato salad — I'd genuinely never had this kind of salad before, and it was so good I asked the staff, who told me it was made with breadcrumbs..!! Totally new to me, and I was pleasantly surprised haha.

They recommend eating daechang with the soy sauce, makchang with the makjang sauce, and teukyang with gim wasabi (seaweed wasabi)!

Seasoned daechang, makchang and teukyang over charcoal
The Mixed Grill Set B arrived alongside the piping-hot charcoal haha. The daechang, makchang, and teukyang all came pre-seasoned — and among yangdaechang restaurants, Lucky Sunny actually prefers it seasoned ~~ no gamey smell and way tastier!!

Staff grill everything for you at the table
At Chodaechang Byeollae, the staff grill everything for you themselves ^^ You know how great it is to have someone else grilling when you're at a work dinner or family meal haha.
Soju is basically required with yangdaechang, so we drank that ice-cold alongside it too.
Once it's grilled enough, they cut it into bite-sized pieces, coat it with sauce, and grill it again ❤️ Then they push the fully cooked pieces to the edge of the grill so you can just eat right away ~~

We started with the well-grilled teukyang, topped with gim wasabi, and ate it together haha — so chewy, it was a work of art!! First time trying gim wasabi too, and I loved the combination ~~

The makchang had great chewiness too!! They opened up the daechang and grilled it well all the way through — daechang was my favorite, easily the tastiest haha. The soy sauce is on the tangy side, and it goes perfectly with the rich, melty daechang ~~

Doenjang sulbap, kimchi-mari noodles and dessert ice cream
After the soju, I was craving carbs haha, so I ordered the doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice) too!! It went really well as a side while drinking ~~
If you take part in the review event, you also get kimchi-mari noodles (cold noodles in kimchi broth) — make sure to join in ~~ Lucky Sunny ordered an extra one, and it was the perfect clean, refreshing finish after all the yangdaechang!!
Once you're done, just ask the staff about the ice cream freezer and they'll give you the nostalgic Excellent ice cream bar for dessert!! Ice cream and all, this Byeollae gopchang and daechang restaurant was absolutely on point — Chodaechang, haha.
