In short
Yun Ujae Shabu Kalguksu Gogidong Branch is a ₩11,500-per-person shabu kalguksu restaurant in Gogidong, Suji District, Yongin. On this third-plus visit, the writer ordered shabu kalguksu for two with a half-and-half mix of flat noodles and regular kalguksu noodles, added a seafood pajeon (scallion pancake), and packed the leftover pancake in a self-serve takeout container. I visited Yun Ujae Shabu Kalguksu, a well-known spot in the Suji Dongcheon-dong area of Yongin! Great price, great taste — this is a Suji shabu-shabu kalguksu place I've already gone back to more than three times now. That should tell you how satisfying it is in every way. So let me give you the details!

Location and exterior

Yun Ujae Shabu Kalguksu is located in Gogidong, Suji, Yongin. I always drive there, and the location seems pretty convenient to reach by car. By bus, you can use the Seongmo Education Center stop, just so you know!

Where to park?
There's a private parking lot right in front of the building, so it's convenient to use.

That said, during busy meal times the lot fills up completely. If that happens, you can park along the street, or on weekends and holidays you can park at the daycare center across the way. The signage explains it well, so parking wasn't a hassle at all.
Interior atmosphere and waiting area

Right at the entrance of Yun Ujae Shabu Kalguksu there are a few waiting chairs along with the business hours posted~

Further inside, there's an even bigger waiting area.

This is the overall vibe of the interior~ It's a spacious layout with tables set fairly far apart, so it doesn't feel cramped at all.
On the right side there's a room-style area sectioned off with partitions. I thought it'd be nice for groups or anyone wanting a more private space, haha~
Menu and prices

Here's the Yun Ujae Shabu Kalguksu menu! It's ₩11,500 per person regardless of lunch or dinner, and the set is packed with value~! The base broth with minari and mushrooms comes with meat + kalguksu noodles + fried rice — great bang for your buck!! You can also choose the spice level of the broth.

Basic soy sauce and wasabi sauce are already set on the table, along with paper cups and a timer, all free to use as you like~!

There's even a guide on how to eat it, so first-timers can easily follow along~!
What we ordered
- Shabu kalguksu for 2
- Seafood pajeon (scallion pancake)
- Cola
That's what we ordered.~!

The full table spread! So generous, right? Haha.

Noodles: half flat noodles, half kalguksu noodles
The base broth with minari and mushrooms comes with meat + kalguksu noodles + fried rice~!! There are two noodle types to choose from — flat noodles and kalguksu noodles! We ordered half and half~! The noodles are handmade in-house, so they're chewy with great texture.

How was the seafood pajeon?
Enter the seafood pajeon! On previous visits I never ordered the pancake, but this time I was curious so I gave it a try haha. The outside was crispy, almost like fried batter, while the inside stayed soft — a nice crispy-plus-soft combo pancake.

Blanched the vegetables, added the noodles, fished out the meat~~ and finished it off with fried rice~! Haha, so full and such a varied meal — great!
There was leftover pancake, so we packed it to go. Haha~ There were takeout containers at the self-serve bar, so we could pack it up freely.
Final verdict
A great-value, filling shabu kalguksu spot in Gogidong, Yongin. If you're looking for a shabu kalguksu restaurant in the Suji Dongcheon-dong area, stop by Yun Ujae Shabu Kalguksu. :)! You'll get an affordable, satisfying, and delicious meal~~!
