Daegu gopchang restaurant with kids on the terrace: Gopchang119
In short
Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch is an open-air, pojangmacha-style gopchang (grilled beef intestines) restaurant a few steps from the public parking lot at the entrance of Anjirang Gopchang Alley in Nam-gu, Daegu. The order was two servings of vegetable gopchang at 12,000 won each plus salt-grilled chicken neck at 12,000 won, and the oak-smoked gopchang had no gamey smell, so even a 7-year-old ate well alongside the mild chicken neck. Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch suits both gopchang first-timers and groups coming with children.

Today I went to Anjirang Gopchang Alley in Daegu. There are seriously so many gopchang (grilled beef intestines) restaurants here! If you're wondering where to go, let me show you one gopchang alley spot worth checking out!

Where is Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch, and its hours and parking
📍Address: 20-2 1st floor, Daemyeong-ro 36-gil, Nam-gu, Daegu, South Korea ⏰Hours: 4:00 PM – 11:30 PM (last order 11:00 PM) Closed every Monday 🅿️Parking: Free public parking lot right near the restaurant, 1 spot available in front

After entering the alley and passing the public parking lot, it's just a few steps to find the place. The taste is great, but the easy access bumped my satisfaction up even more!

The outdoor terrace with windows thrown wide open
Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch had its doors wide open, and with the weather being so nice lately, I feel like I'm always chasing after open-air spots haha. Now's the time before it gets colder ‼️‼️

An outdoor terrace perfect for a drink while catching a cool breeze hahaha, with that unique pojangmacha (street tent bar) feel🍂 The vibe makes you feel like you could drink endlessly, so it's great not just for dates but for work dinners and all kinds of gatherings ‼️‼️

There's a Naver event going on, don't miss it~

What we ordered: vegetable gopchang and salt-grilled chicken neck
✔️We ordered vegetable gopchang, 2 servings, ₩12,000 x2, and salt-grilled chicken thigh, ₩12,000. Vegetable gopchang is gopchang stir-fried with various vegetables, while pure gopchang (algopchang) is just the intestines alone, so algopchang actually gives you a bit more gopchang~~

Pickled radish, lettuce, vinegared garlic, kimchi, and ssamjang were all set out!

A tip for eating gopchang deliciously! It's great even plain, but personally I found wrapping it with the various sauces exactly as instructed to be so tasty!! Now all that's left is to dig in!

Oak-smoked vegetable gopchang: is there any gamey smell?
Since it goes through an oak-smoking process, there's no funky smell at all~~~ 🔥🔥The smoky, spicy seasoning is seriously addictive and my chopsticks kept going back for more. I just kept eating without stopping haha.
With all sorts of vegetables and gopchang tossed in spicy sauce, this is a place even gopchang beginners or people sensitive to smell can enjoy without worry👆 That's me hahaha. Coming to Daegu is how I discovered how good gopchang can be. If it smells too strong I can't eat it😢 Gopchang119's gopchang is definitely odor-free, and eating it with the vegetables was so, so good‼️

How generous are the portions at Gopchang119?
It's not easy to fill up on gopchang alone, but I was surprised at how the pan was piled full. It wasn't just a lot of vegetables — there was a lot of gopchang too! Even the chicken thigh, at what should be a single serving, came out generous enough to feel like two servings — amazing value‼️
Adding the special sauce and even a bit of mayonnaise, then wrapping it up in one big bite — that combination is the best 👍🏻👍🏻

Can you bring kids to Anjirang Gopchang Alley?
The salt-grilled chicken thigh portion was really generous too 🥹‼️ The mild, chewy texture was fantastic, and my 7-year-old son said it was delicious and ate it all up?? It was so nice that a gopchang restaurant had something the kids could enjoy too😋

I thought — even someone who can't eat gopchang would be totally satisfied just coming for the grilled chicken thigh??? It was that good, enough that both kids and adults were fully satisfied.

Just a few steps from the public parking lot at the entrance to Anjirang Gopchang Alley, Gopchang119 is easy to spot at a glance, with its fully-opened windows and that outdoor pojangmacha vibe🔥 If you're craving smoky gopchang or chicken thigh with a drink‼️ come visit Gopchang119 in Anjirang Gopchang Alley, where the taste, the generous portions, and the atmosphere all come together 🏃♀️🏃♂️
