Yeosu pork belly BBQ restaurant in Seonwon-dong: Jino Mokjang Museon
In short
Jino Mokjang Museon Branch is a Korean pork and beef barbecue restaurant in Seonwon-dong, Yeosu, tucked in the alley behind Lotte Mart in the Museon district and next to Museon Post Office. The writer and a friend ordered the Today's Handon Combo Set (55.0) and grilled pork neck, fresh bone-in ribs and pork belly, served with three kinds of salt, side dishes including corn cheese, chive pancake and steamed egg, sweet pumpkin soup, a review-event gochujang stew and yellow peaches for dessert. Few places in Yeosu grill fresh uncured ribs, so Jino Mokjang works well for company dinners and group get-togethers.

I was craving good meat again, so I went to Jino Mokjang, a Korean barbecue spot in Museon, Yeosu!
Where Jino Mokjang Museon Branch is and where to park
Jino Mokjang Museon Branch sits behind Lotte Mart in Yeosu's Museon district, right next to the Museon Post Office in Seonwon-dong. It's open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, year-round.

I thought this was my own hidden gem, but there was a Blue Ribbon sticker on the storefront — I guess everyone's tastes really are similar, haha. There's no dedicated lot, but you can park in the surrounding side streets.

Seating and the private room for group dinners
Jino Mokjang in Museon, Yeosu is set up for easy grilling, so it's a nice atmosphere for eating with family or friends. There's also a room in the back, though I couldn't get a photo since other guests were using it. It would be great for a private group dinner or company outing!
What comes in the Today's Handon Combo Set (55.0)
Jino Mokjang serves both Korean pork and Korean beef, and since we came for pork today, we ordered the Today's Hanwoo Pork Combo (55.0). Their signature seems to be kkotsamgyeop (flower-pattern pork belly), which I wanted to try, but we went with the recommended combo set instead so we could sample a variety.

Which side dishes arrive at the table
The moment we sat down, I noticed Jino Mokjang really delivers on side dishes. Three kinds of salt, pickled vegetables, onions, and fresh kimchi salad were all on the table.

Every single side dish paired well with the meat and added to the flavor.

They also brought out warm side dishes right away — corn cheese, chive pancake, steamed egg, and more. Every dish was neat and delicious.

We started the meal with a sweet pumpkin soup appetizer. Sweet and savory, it definitely got our appetite going.

Pork neck, fresh ribs and pork belly: how each cut tastes
The Today's Hanwoo Pork Combo at Jino Mokjang in Museon, Yeosu comes with pork neck, fresh short ribs, and pork belly. The meat looked fresh from the color alone, and once we tried it, the quality really came through.

We put the pork neck and fresh short ribs on the grill first. Nice touch — they even sprinkled salt on for us!

The pork neck was clean-tasting yet juicy. Eaten with grilled vegetables it was fresh and delicious, and dipped in salted shrimp sauce it took on a Jeju black pork kind of flavor — a totally different but tasty experience.

The fresh short ribs were chewy with a nice savory flavor. They were my pick of the day. Fresh short ribs seem tricky to handle, since not many restaurants serve them — so it was great to enjoy them here at Jino Mokjang.

Next up, the always-reliable pork belly! It was bright red and fresh, with just the right fat-to-meat ratio.

The pork belly had just enough fat to be savory. Each cut clearly had its own charm. My friend who came with me said the pork belly was the best of the three.

Review-event gochujang stew and yellow peach dessert
Here's the gochujang stew we got from the review event, haha. Having a stew alongside the meat really rounds out the meal. And when the rice arrived, they also brought out three extra namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes.

The gochujang stew was packed with soft tofu, meat, and zucchini. Even as a review-event item, I was surprised by how generous the portion was, haha. It had that spicy, rich gochujang-based flavor that goes great with rice.

Just as we finished our rice and were about to leave, they brought out yellow peaches for dessert. From appetizer to dessert, Jino Mokjang in Museon, Yeosu delivered a satisfying meal all around.
Is Jino Mokjang worth it in Yeosu?
Jino Mokjang was a satisfying spot with great meat quality and generous side dishes. It's a place I'd recommend for family, friends, or a company dinner alike. If you're looking for a truly delicious Korean barbecue restaurant in Yeosu, I recommend Jino Mokjang!
