Jamsil sandwich restaurant for carrot egg lunch: Town Sandwich

In short

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is a sandwich restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, near Jamsil Station. Before heading to Lotte World, I shared a carrot-and-egg sandwich and strawberry latte with my son; the baguette was wonderfully moist. Verdict: a filling, family-friendly lunch or snack that kept us full until dinner.

Every Friday is a date day with my son. Before going to Lotte World with him, we stopped by for a sandwich as a light lunch and snack.

An exterior with a bright green sign

The bright green sign really stands out. The large “Town Sandwich” logo catches your eye right away. The front is made of full-height windows framed in green, so you can see straight inside, while the windows list SANDWICH, COFFEE, SALAD, SOUP, and other items in a stylish way. It is clean yet welcoming, with a charming little exterior.

There are set menus, individual items, and a range of drinks to choose from.

A comfortable interior for solo dining too

Interior with wood-tone furniture and orange chairs
Store interior with an ordering area and open kitchen
Wall arranged with menu posters and the logo
Sandwich shop interior with a bar table and decorative touches

Inside, the light wood walls and furniture are paired with orange chairs for a warm, casual feel. There is an open kitchen and ordering area along one side, so you can watch the sandwiches being made. The town sandwich logo and posters explaining the different menu items are neatly arranged on the walls.

Several tables in the middle comfortably seat two to four people, while bar tables by the wall are great for eating alone or having coffee. The orange chairs that pair so well with the wood tones, yellow storage cabinet, and little decorative touches all caught my eye. The tables are nicely spaced overall, so it felt like a comfortable place for a quick sandwich and coffee or a solo meal.

The taste of a wonderfully moist baguette sandwich

Town Sandwich uses a different kind of baguette. Rather than the hard, chewy baguette you might normally imagine, they say theirs is crisp on the outside and moist inside. When I tried it, I was genuinely surprised by how moist it was. Oh!!!! It was seriously delicious!!! One of the best sandwiches I have ever had.

The flavor and texture of the bread are so important in a sandwich, after all. The sandwiches at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch had a great texture.

The carrot-and-egg menu my son loved

For my son, I chose a menu item loaded with carrot and egg. This place really does taste good. I feel full just seeing my son eat well (?) and he ate it so happily. Such a good menu choice.

Is it good for takeaway lunch and solo dining?

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch also looks like a perfectly good lunch choice for office workers in Jamsil. On days when you do not have much time at lunch, you can take out a sandwich and eat quickly, and ordering ahead for takeaway cuts down on waiting time. It also has an easygoing atmosphere for eating alone, so I think it would suit anyone looking for a good solo-dining spot in Jamsil.

Takeaway for outings and group orders

If you are planning an outing in Jamsil, taking sandwiches along sounds like a great idea too. They would be especially nice to pick up for a walk in Olympic Park or a picnic by the Jamsil section of the Han River.

Sandwich suited to takeaway for an outing

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch says it can handle group orders as well as individual meals. If you need sandwiches for several people at a company event, seminar, or small gathering, you can discuss a menu that fits your headcount and budget. Ordering in advance makes pickup convenient, so it seems useful for anyone preparing sandwiches for a group.

My son and I had it as lunch and a snack, but it was so filling that I was not hungry again until dinner. The sweet strawberry latte my son loves was delicious too.
