In short

A couple ordered by QR code at the table and finished 25 plates, picking the aged kimchi beef sushi and the red king shrimp sushi as their favorites, with the other aged-kimchi dishes—live fish with aged kimchi and grilled tuna with aged kimchi—close behind. Conveyor-belt sushi near Pyeongtaek Station: Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch
I was looking for somewhere to eat dinner near Pyeongtaek Station and ended up at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch. You can order whatever you want straight from a QR code, and the aged kimchi beef sushi and red king shrimp sushi were especially good — here's my dinner review.

It's a conveyor-belt sushi place, but you don't have to just grab whatever's passing by on the belt. Scan the QR code at your table and you can order exactly what you want directly, so we basically ordered everything we felt like eating. And boy, did we eat that day haha. When I checked the order history, it came to 25 plates total! We visited in the evening so a few menu items were already sold out, but there was still plenty of variety, and most importantly, a lot of what we ate was delicious. My top pick of the day was the aged kimchi beef sushi!! I tried several dishes with aged kimchi in them here, and they really know how to do aged kimchi haha.
Where is Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch, and what are the hours?
- 📌 Address: 27 Pyeongtaek 2-ro, 1st floor, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do / 506 m from Exit 1 of Pyeongtaek Station
- ⏰ Hours: 11:30–21:30, break time 15:00–17:00, last order 21:00
It's walkable from Exit 1 of Pyeongtaek Station, so it's a pretty convenient spot when you're looking for somewhere to eat near Pyeongtaek Station.

How much is sushi here? Every plate is 2,100 won
At Mikado Sushi every single plate is a flat ₩2,100, so you can pick whatever sushi you want without worrying about price. There's also a named-source system for flounder and sea bream!! The flounder is exclusively Wando-sourced flounder over 3kg!

They even display the prep date and transaction statement for the day's flounder and sea bream!! Freshness is always the biggest question with conveyor-belt sushi, so I liked that they let you check it for yourself :)
Inside the restaurant and the 9 free services at the Pyeongtaek Station branch
Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station Branch is laid out with seating running the length of the conveyor belt.

With its wood-tone and brick interior, the whole place looked clean, and even in the evening the restaurant was tidy — solid first impression!! And off to one side, they had a sign listing the 9 services unique to the Pyeongtaek Station branch.

Wi-Fi and phone charging at your seat come standard, plus aprons, hair ties, hand cream, blankets, fabric deodorizer, and even disposable mouthwash. You can also request ointment/first-aid items or feminine products, and there's a hashtag event plus a welcome drink for kids. Little things like this seem minor, but they're surprisingly nice to have when you actually need them haha.

And this t-shirt covered in sushi prints... I went to eat sushi and almost ended up hunting for merch instead ^^
QR ordering: why you shouldn't order everything at once
Since Mikado Sushi is a conveyor-belt sushi place, I naturally assumed at first that you were just supposed to grab plates as they rotated past on the belt.

Of course you can eat that way, but you don't have to wait for the belt at all! Scan the QR code at your table and you can order exactly what you want directly. We ordered this way most of the time, and once you order, the dishes come out really fast.

But here's one thing to watch out for haha — if you see something you want and order a bunch all at once... it really does come pouring out all at once haha. The first time, I ordered a big batch and suddenly plate after plate kept arriving until we ran out of room on the table haha. So after that, we alternated: I'd order → we'd eat → then my husband would order, pacing it out. Since QR ordering itself is so fast, there's no need to order too much right from the start.
Which sushi we ate across 25 plates
We ended up trying all kinds of things that day.

There were also so many different sauces, so each piece of sushi felt like a different experience :)

From raw fish sushi like sea bream, flounder fin, salmon belly, swordfish belly, and bluefin tuna belly,

to freshwater eel, wagyu, negitoro hand roll, salmon, and grilled tuna with aged kimchi, and more!
Top pick: aged kimchi beef sushi
Out of everything, the one I enjoyed most was the aged kimchi beef sushi.

It's piled high with aged kimchi (mukeunji) on top of beef, and the combination worked so well shared between the two of us. Actually, we tried a few dishes with aged kimchi that day, including live fish aged kimchi sushi and grilled tuna aged kimchi sushi,

and as we kept eating, we both agreed, "They really know how to do aged kimchi here." So if you like aged kimchi, it's worth picking at least one dish that has it. I'd order the aged kimchi beef sushi again for sure if I went back!
Runner-up: red king shrimp sushi
And just as memorable as the aged kimchi beef sushi was the red king shrimp.

We ordered two plates of red king shrimp, and this was the dish we both praised the moment we took a bite! You know that faint sweetness you sometimes get from really fresh shrimp? That's exactly what this was. The shrimp itself had a natural sweetness that stuck with me even after eating.

If aged kimchi beef sushi was my top pick, red king shrimp was the dish I'd want to eat again next. Beyond that, we also worked through negitoro hand roll, freshwater eel, abalone, swordfish belly, salmon belly, and more, switching up dishes until the plates piled up like this by the end haha.

25 plates cleared between the two of us! We didn't plan to eat this much at first, but one plate led to another QR order, and another, and before we knew it — plate tower complete haha. Still, it was such a happy dinner because everything was so good :)
Found a conveyor-belt sushi place that really knows how to do aged kimchi! We cleared 25 plates together at Mikado Sushi Pyeongtaek Station 🍣
