Cheonan café with rentable cabins and outdoor tables: Pino Cafe

In short

Pino Cafe Cheonan is a large brunch café with a 3,000-pyeong garden at the foot of Taehaksan in Pungse-myeon, Cheonan, Chungnam. On a weekday lunch revisit, the writer took an outdoor table for a charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter and truffle cream pasta, then walked the garden while the yellow cosmos was in bloom. With three parking lots, cabins available to rent, and pets allowed outdoors and in the cabins, Pino Cafe Cheonan works well as a half-day outing.

On a nice day, you just want to eat good food, take pretty photos, and spend some relaxed time somewhere lovely. This time I went to Pino Cafe in Cheonan, a place where you can enjoy brunch and meals, coffee, and outdoor photo spots all in one visit.

Why go back to Pino Cafe Cheonan?

Actually, I'd visited Pino Cafe once before with a friend and remembered the pretty space ✨ When I visited this time, the yellow cosmos were blooming beautifully, so it was the perfect time for photos. The weather was great too, so I really got to enjoy the outdoor space properly.

Pino Cafe Cheonan hours, parking and pet rules

Pino Cafe Cheonan is open daily from 10:00 to 20:30, year-round. You can drop by comfortably from morning until evening.

Parking at Pino Cafe is well organized, so you don't need to worry about that! On a weekday lunch visit there was plenty of space to park and eat comfortably.

  • If Lots 1/2/3 are all full: search for Taehaksan Management Office and use the public lot in front of it!!

The signage explains this clearly, so if it's full on a weekend, just follow that notice for parking.

Pets are welcome, but only in outdoor seating or the cabins, and a leash is required outdoors!

There's also a self-service packing station, so takeout is easy too.

Walking into Pino Cafe, you first get to look around the main building and annex spaces — you can have coffee or a meal comfortably inside, and there are photo-worthy spots everywhere, so it's fun to explore slowly.

The annex (new wing)

The annex is a newly built space, and with all the windows it felt open overall, and the chairs looked comfortable too. Besides the restroom, there's also a sink, which seemed handy for washing hands before a meal 〰️

The outdoor tables

At Pino Cafe you can eat not just indoors but outdoors too. Rather than coming just for pasta and staying only inside the café, I felt like looking around the surrounding space made for a much fuller visit.

The weather was really great, so we decided to eat outdoors!

What we ordered at Pino Cafe Cheonan

Table setting with charcoal-grilled pork belly steak platter and truffle cream pasta at Pino Cafe

What we ordered that day was the charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter and the truffle cream pasta.

Charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter

First, the charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter is a dish where a whole cut of pork belly is grilled over charcoal, so it would catch the eye of any meat lover. It looked delicious from the golden-brown sear alone, and eating it outdoors gave me a bit of a traveling-somewhere feeling.

Charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter with two sauces

I liked that there were two sauces to choose from depending on your taste, and vegetables like onion and garlic came alongside as well. The fries that came with it were also spicy and salty, which was way more satisfying than plain fries! The plating was so pretty too, my mood went up!

Truffle cream pasta

The truffle cream pasta we ordered alongside had a creamy sauce with truffle aroma added, making it soft and easy to eat. Ordering both dishes together let us alternate between meat and pasta, which made for a totally satisfying meal!

The sauce was really tasty and soaked well into the noodles, which I liked. Most of all, the weather was really nice that day, so we sat at an outdoor table to eat, and with a pleasant breeze and relaxed scenery around, it felt like a completely different atmosphere from eating indoors. If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere brunch café in Cheonan, having this kind of outdoor space seems to be one of Pino Cafe's strengths.

Walking the 3,000-pyeong garden with yellow cosmos in bloom

After finishing the meal, I'd recommend taking a walk. Pino Cafe's outdoor garden is really well laid out! The yellow cosmos happened to be in beautiful bloom, which made it great for photos too. Taking photos against the yellow cosmos gave lovely colors, and it was nice being able to walk it off lightly while digesting.

When I visited with a friend before, it was also cosmos season and we took photos then too, so it felt nostalgic to see them blooming beautifully again this time haha. Rather than just a place to sit and drink coffee, I think Pino Cafe's charm is being able to eat, look around the surroundings, and leave with photos too.

I'd especially recommend making use of the outdoor space if you visit on a nice-weather day. If you're looking for a brunch café in Cheonan along with a pretty photo spot, this place should suit you well. (Some tables near the garden aren't for eating, so I'd recommend having your meal near the building!)

Renting a private cabin at Pino Cafe Cheonan

Pino Cafe also had a somewhat special space — the Pino Cafe cabins.

The cabins are a rentable space, so they'd suit anyone wanting to spend time a bit more privately than at a regular café table. They seemed great for chatting leisurely with friends, spending time with family, or having a special moment in a place with atmosphere. Being able to choose between a meal and coffee at the café, the outdoor space and photo spots, and even a cabin was impressive.

Is Pino Cafe Cheonan a good date spot for brunch and photos?

Revisiting Pino Cafe this time brought back memories from before, and with the yellow cosmos blooming so beautifully, I had an even better time. I enjoyed a good meal with the charcoal-grilled whole pork belly steak platter and truffle cream pasta, spent relaxed time outdoors in the nice weather, then took a walk among the yellow cosmos for photos — it felt like a half-day outing.

If you're looking for a café in Cheonan for pasta or brunch, or want a good meal along with pretty photo spots, I'd recommend Pino Cafe. Especially during cosmos season it's great for photos, so visit on a nice day and enjoy the outdoor space too.
