Songdo bakery with a master pastry chef's glass baking room: Tomoru
In short
Tomoru Bakery is a bakery run by a certified Korean master pastry chef on Haedoji-ro in Yeonsu, Incheon, sitting between Central Park and Triple Street. Inside Tomoru Bakery, the master pastry chef plaque hangs on the wall and the baking room is visible through glass, while the display case runs from salt bread and baguettes at 5,000 won up to a Mango Sand No.1 cake at 45,000 won. Much of the bread was already gone by evening, so Tomoru Bakery is best visited in the morning.

Today I want to write in detail about my visit to Tomoru Bakery, a bakery in Songdo's Triple Street that anyone who loves bread in the area already knows. Songdo bread lovers, you've probably been at least once, haven't you??
It's close to Central Park, Triple Street, and Haedoji Park, so it's in a perfect spot to swing by naturally whether you have an appointment in Songdo or it's just part of your everyday route. It's a reliable bakery made by a certified Korean master pastry chef — a Songdo Central Park favorite, an Incheon National University Station bakery: Tomoru Bakery.
Why a master pastry chef's bakery feels trustworthy
Walking slowly into Tomoru Bakery, you can't miss the master pastry chef plaque and various certificates displayed prominently on one wall. I thought it was just an ordinary neighborhood bakery, but somehow from the entrance itself it felt more trustworthy.

On one side of the store, the interior of the baking room is fully visible through a clear glass wall.

Being able to see the whole process of making and kneading the bread with your own eyes made me feel like I could choose my bread more confidently, like it's somehow more hygienic.
What ingredients does Tomoru Bakery use? Organic flour and 18-hour cold fermentation
Tomoru Bakery apparently selects good ingredients like organic flour, natural sourdough starter, and AOP-certified butter. They don't add artificial additives, and the dough is fermented at low temperature for over 18 hours, they say. Maybe that's why the bread has an overall softer, chewier appeal.

Bread and cake lineup at Tomoru Bakery, and what it costs
The showcase and display shelves were full of delicious-looking bread, so I spent ages agonizing over what to pick. Tomoru Bakery's bread and cake lineup is arranged like this:
- Salt bread / baguette — nutty salt bread piled high on trays and a baguette (₩5,000) that's crispy outside and chewy inside
- Handmade cakes — cakes topped with fresh fruit like Mango Sand No.1 (₩45,000), Shine Sand No.1 (₩45,000), and Strawberry Dome No.1 (₩35,000)
- Baked snacks & gift sets — Guri Ball (₩4,500) and various cookies, plus bread gift boxes great for presents (gift box ₩1,000 / 4-piece set with shopping bag ₩1,500)

They packed the bread securely into a paper shopping bag with the brand logo neatly printed on it, so it was easy to carry and the shapes didn't get messed up — I liked that.

What the shopfront and interior look like
The exterior of Tomoru Bakery is decorated with red brick veneer and warm-toned lighting, so it stands out even from a distance.

If you're looking for a decent bakery in Songdo or planning a bakery-hopping course, this is a place worth stopping at at least once. The store atmosphere is comfortable and there's a wide variety of bread, so it's fun just to look around.

When is the best time to visit? Shelves were nearly empty by evening
Overall the bread at Tomoru Bakery had a clean flavor, so if I have a reason to be nearby again, I'd like to stop by and try other breads too. But since I visited in the evening, there wasn't much bread left, which was a bit disappointing. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend going in the morning as much as possible~
